This. Probably the perfect time to trade LDU too, his value would be sky high.

I understand you've got to give up something to get something, but we can't just keep kicking the can down the road.
We only have like 15 untradeables on the list imo.
We have to hold onto them and add to the group.

So rumoured or linked to:
  • Rioli Junior
  • Blair Acres
  • Brad Hill
  • Bobby Hill (no confirmation on him)
  • Gunston (no confirmation)
  • Liam Shiel

Leaving rumours:
  • Goldy (doubt it)
  • Scott (I think he stays, but the most likely to leave)
  • Zurhaar (I think he stays)
  • JHF (doubt it even for next year)

Anyone else?
So this was with a grain of truth:

Rioli looms among the biggest names yet to re-sign for 2023, along with Nic Naitanui, Shannon Hurn and Jack Redden, as West Coast plot their list moves after a horror season.

It comes amid reported interstate interest from North Melbourne and Port Adelaide.”

what would be the point of trading a super talented 24 year old for a super talented 18 year old? we're just stuck in the perpetual bullshit of everything good being just over the horizon

the only way we should consider that is if he said there was no chance of signing on - and even then id rather trade him for a player in the 22-26 age bracket

also, big yes to Junior Rioli. the though of him and Paul Curtis in the same forward line is genuinely mouthwatering

Or the Cam.

Is there any reason why we keep getting linked to pick 19 as our only priority pick? Gold Coast received 6000 points in picks over 3 years and we have a worse record than they did. It's been reported earlier in the year that we were asking for a similar package and then more recent reports are that we are expected to get a positive outcome. I won't be too shocked if we receive pick 2 and something around the 20s this year through PP

I like the Bull too but pick 9 is good currency for a player that lacks consistency. And if he wants out with Clarko coming in he can shut the door behind him.

Picks: 1, 2 (PP), 9 (bull).
Trade 2 for GCS's 5 (rankine) and 7.

Draft: 1, 5, 7, 9

Cooking with gas.
If we are doing this, why not include Hill with CZ and the salary dump, chat to GWS about Hopper with 9, and take Logue with our number 19PP for a third back to help with Coop? Oh, and give the Bailey pick from Geelong for whatshisname from Freo too?
A couple of FAs and Bob's your uncle.

I don't want to trade Zurhaar. He is an underutilised talent.

But if he is gone then pick 9 is a good return.

If we get 19 as a PP, how high up could 9 + 19 get us? Or is this draft flat enough that we're better sticking at 9?

Can I just point out (without particularly targeting you Kangaroos techno )
Pick 2 is 2500 points and we have asked for 3000 in help (of that point which has been inferred), which leaves about pick 35-37
The more I look at it, the less Pick 2 is on the table, most likely it will be picks 19 for a couple of years (~1800 points) plus some change

A good gauge of who the nuffies are on this board

Discussing a channel 7 fake trade suggestion lol shame on those fools
... are you serious?

hypothetical trades is 98% of these threads

If we need to trade out some class to get some class back then my votes would be Powell, Thomas and Scott. I am not saying I would like to trade any of those 3 necessarily but those 3 are the ones that would hold value.

i remember when we thought we'd get pick 9 for Josh Gibson, ended up with some average picks that didn't amount to much.
