Probably paying unders for a lot of the less known names at the club; similar to a gws style but less top paid talent. 350k isn't much considering the average wage is like 300k
I am just amazed that a team that missed out on finals and has not been a finals threat for so long has been seen/dressed up as a destination club.

If we need to trade out some class to get some class back then my votes would be Powell, Thomas and Scott. I am not saying I would like to trade any of those 3 necessarily but those 3 are the ones that would hold value.
I wouldn't put names to them, but if we are flush anywhere it's in the midfield. Trading one of them to rebalance the roster makes sense.

If cats offer shitman or crapola picks - let Bailey go to the drafts
It actually craps me off that teams get in players' ears with an offer but have no currency to get a deal done.

If they are into Bruhn, how on earth could they get a deal done for any other players with the draft capital they have.

Not believing shit until the club comes out with the news.

He is still best 22 until we either draft better talent or recruit 24-28yr old alternatives with higher ceilings. That said, he is still our best runner other than Taylor and we need that sort of workhorse when we have the ball in transition.

His disposal and decision making is improving with every game he plays, he is definitely getting more involved and racking up score involvements. Not to mention he is kicking more goals as a result of his hard work. He is playing the role Polec should be playing and has been quite the big improver.

Leaving now would be bizarre especially considering the calibre of coaching in front of him and untapped potential of the list. I just don't see him leaving.

Geelong would be just about having their last push for a flag before a reset so it makes sense if he did have some interest there. Then again, Clarko brings ultimate competitiveness and premiership pedigree. Would anyone leave knowing that?

SimpkinByTheDockOfTheBay did say that just yesterday Scott told someone he was staying. Would explain why Jon 'Journalistic Integrity' Ralph axed it.

Yep, seems running with fake info about Scott was an epidemic yesterday, this one can be banked.

Hard to believe that the money being offered to Acres is so low. In the unlikely event that this article is true, surely we could offer more.

Couldn't agree more.

I've not been following too much footy news recently as I've been out of action but I've just caught up on the rumours that we're interested in both Acres and Rioli - love the fact we've been linked with both of them.

Both of these guys would come straight into our best 22 and improve us by quite a margin. Not only that, they're in the perfect age bracket for what we need.

Going hard at both of these guys is a no brainer, particularly at the reported figures.

‘Dockers are keen to keep him’……..I’d hate to see their offer if they were only lukewarm. That would have to be a reasonable pay cut on what they got him across on.

He’s had a terrific season, I’d be happy to at the very least match what Carlton are supposedly offering.

Denis was living so dangerously by the end of his time with us.

The club turned a blind eye when it was the odd Keenan Reynolds or Chris Grrom because sometimes he brought in a Peter Bell or Martin Pike.

But his habit grew out of control, starting to dabbling in Calthorpes and Olarenshaws.

By his last years at North he was ****ing around with some really hard stuff like McLarens, Porters and Bourkes and it was time to sever ties.
I was seriously expecting the final line to mention Ryan Pagan. But you're obviously saving that for the ultimate whack ;)
