It's always Geelong.
It was always going to be Geelong for McKenna, they own the market for Irish players and with strong Irish leaders like Tuohy and O’Connor it’s no wonder why. If we got McKenna for example, it would be a much less secure investment than it is for Geelong as they have the safety nets there for him as remember he left because of homesickness
(Tuohy and O’Connor would know him and also know what it’s like, I was talking to an Irish bloke about the Gaelic footy community in Melbourne and everyone tends to know each other he reckons)

Props to Geelong for always knowing how to get value in for cheap, similar to the Stengle/Betts link up, they just have the perfect stable environment to help the more riskier of recruits. We have a long way IMO before we can start doing that, but as a player of course McKenna would be great for us.

This reads like a bombers PR piece. Apparently they have a shitload of cap space. I didn’t know that they offered Rankine $800,000 a year and he knocked them back.

Now they’re the good guys? This is a ****ing joke hey? Yet North don’t have an A-grader and JHF got a whole page dedicated to why he should leave

Paddy Dow- in days gone by we'd be in his grill. I hope that we swipe left on this occasion.
