Tarryn Thomas looking at requesting a trade, most likely to Gold Coast. Looked like he could be a superstar 2 years ago so Kangas will most likely make him play out his contract and hope he stays but would be worth a first round pick if was to go this trade period you’d think.

Who’s his manager? You’d hope he’d be advising against that. Not the ideal environment.

It was 1 year ago he looked like a superstar. Things were tracking beautifully until this year.

Disappointing but hardly surprising

Career suicide that would be . Lol if this happens he will be out of the game within the next 2 years..

we're desperate for good players in that 24-28yr old age range and then mature aged leadership to push training standards and bring in premiership experience.
I may be wrong & it may just be my interpretation, however I think we will stick the course via draft and only hand select senior blokes that fit the right attitude, leadership & performance. Rather then chase anyone and everybody in that age bracket.

He emphasised the improvement of the players we have, with the addition of a strong football program, leadership & game plan. He also said it wouldn’t all be resolved this year.

I think if you look at what he did at Melbourne, they were pretty selective with who they brought in - they always kept their early picks, traded in strong leaders (Lewis, Vince) to support them & went after cheap fringe types that are 50/50 but cheap (Frost, Michie etc.)

Tarryn Thomas for Elijah Hollands.

Same management group as JHF.

Players will come and go.
Thomas isnt required for us to be successful.
Just have to make sure we get some decent compensation out of him.
TBH I've forgotten he was even at the club for the past 2 months.

No competent player manager in their right mind would recommend Tarryn move to Gold Coast. Anyone with an idea of his social habits would know the chances of him reaching his potential with the distractions that the Gold Coast offers, is very slim.

Tarryn will be held to his contract, no doubt in my mind. However, he has a lot of growing up to do first. I don’t know if going to Electric with Mia Fevola is the best start to his off-season, but hopefully he has a really good preseason & realises he can only blame the club so much.

It's all just speculation but I think there is a chance we don't hold him to his contract. If, and it's a big if, his training and lifestyle issues are as bad as some rumour, and Clarko doesn't think he can make him turn them around... I think Clarko would absolutely consider using him as trade currency.

She gets around

Thomas’s comment on Insta about the $$ and his social media show that he’s about a 10% chance to live up to his potential and buy into a team first culture. If we could get a pick around 10-12 for him you’d have do it. And bring in jr Rioli for a third round

Realistically a few social media posts aren't necessarily an accurate snapshot into someone's life.
