out of curiosity, if Serong did leave next year what would he be worth out of contract? :/

Apparently Lachie Reid said on the radio this morning that Freo are still looking to bring another big fish over via trade.

Any chance of a 3-way trade involving Lobb - Dunkley - Neale (with picks)?

If the fish is O’meara, not sure what ruler we’re using....

Meek for their 2nd rounder.

Omeara and a future first for a future 3rd round pick ??

Surely this is just a salary dump

Can you imagine the shiite show that would have gone on if O'Meara to Freo as a salary dump for #6 was in play publicly before Jackson was done?

Scuttlebutt is GWS will trade #19 to Hawks if they pay O'Meara
If we pay him, he should be almost free as a salary cap dump
Hopefully and sounds more advanced than Freo (JOM has flown up to GWS) - that trade muted of 19 for JOM with Hawks continuing to pay some salary proceeds. It is then more likely that Hawks will go ahead with trading either 24 or F2 to Freo as part of Meek trade.

Not greatly convinced JOM is a good idea. Reasonable replacement for Mundy and continue playing Fyfe more up forward but I’d rather we get more games into Erasmus and Johnson.

If we do trade Lobb, can Belly pull a rabbit from his hat on a Peter Wright type that is lurking in the VFL/WAFL/SNFL that has been missed by everyone.

If we are looking for a short term replacement for Mundy and JOM comes reasonably cheap, might be a good idea until our younger midfielders mature.
Looking at this years comparisons ,JOM is kind of like for like. Obviously Mitchell would be a better pick but out of our price range

Serious question: Has JOM actually been playing decent footy in the last 5 years? I know he was the second coming of Christ before being injured but don’t think he has recaptured that form yet, has he?
