I have only just got back from camping, is there somewhere I can see the updates of what has transpired so far?
If not what has happened? anything?

This, or perhaps even less for tucker - we‘re quite happy to get his salary off the 2023 books. Not a fan of the F3> F4 swap but my guess is North didn’t consider an early third as suitable swap on it’s own for Tucker.
Trade 1. PP-F2 (20-22) for out of contract Logue
Trade 2. PP-F3 (38-40) & F4 (55-57) > Tucker, F3 (50-52)
Picture a prime North Melbourne great in Wayne Carey launching at the pack and taking another contested mark, then slotting it calmly from 45m out.
Complete opposite of that.
Fair enough. Must of zoned out when he was terrible. He actually did mention Amiss,
and his point about us needing a gun forward is true- if obvious.
So why didn't they just walk Logue? There was literally nothing stopping them, other than reputation.
Think every1 needs to chill tfo... The only objective of the trade and draft period is to improve the list. If you stop assessing/melting over individual trades and look at the list as a whole you'll probably feel a lot better about this off season and where it is headed.
Acres was an ok stop gap this year but he was never the future. A good leading forward like Amiss doesn't want to spend his career with Acres delivering the ball from the wing (from the sky more accurately). People will point to his defensive run being important whilst simultaneously complaining that our attacking ball movement is s**t. I strongly doubt losing him will have much of a negative impact next year - just like losing Cerra didn't either.
Logue was also never a long term solution for our forward line. He was a stop gap because our other tall forward options (ie Amiss and Treacy) weren't 100%. You simply can't afford to pay $700k+ over 5 years for a depth KPD. Would be great to have kept him (not on that coin) but serviceable depth KPDs generally aren't very expensive (both TPP and draft capital).
Retaining Tucker would be pointless with Erasmus and Johnson both having far higher ceilings and needing opportunities. We'd be repeating the mistake we made with Blakely.
Moving forward without these three guys provides an opportunity to fill their roles with better options...
Jackson will be a massive upgrade on Logue. I get that people are obsessed with "winning" trades but two first rounders in the teens really isn't a big spend for an athletic tall like Jackson. We are getting more than a decade out of this kid and if you think he is even close to finished product atm then you'd be very much mistaken. Stop overvaluing draft picks - we have a young Rising Star winner wanting to come our way and unlike a tall in the draft he will make an immediate impact.
Corbett and Sharp are no world beaters but if you've complained about our forward line and our attack in the front half of the ground then you should be supporting getting these two.
And if you don't want McDonald-Tipungwuti because we already have too many small forwards and he is old then I'm not sure (a) you've ever watched how Tippa plays and the impact he has as a part of a forward line; and (b) you've watched how non-threatening the Freo forward line is most weeks. Would take the gamble in a heart beat - if it pays off it'd be a massive boost up forward.
Amiss, Erasmus, Johnson, Treacy and Sturt all likely to have greater opportunities next year. Can see Wilson deservedly playing more games and Hamling being good KPD depth. Maybe even see an Ultan Kelm debut unless he is running a full speed. Plenty to work with and can see our list by pre-season being a better balance of defence and attack than it was last season - and that's the logical next step after finishing 5th despite having a bottom 6 attack.
And saves the club on needles.
Bent over? Feels like a decent price to move up 6 spotsMelbourne just bent over to port???
I would have taken those three picks for an f2 in the Jackson deal
No.Would we be ok with 13, Future 1st and North's Future 2nd for Jackson and 27?
Not personally, but it may happenWould we be ok with 13, Future 1st and North's Future 2nd for Jackson and 27?
That North F2 is worth a lot more then a second round this year. Given the talent next year and north most likely being wooden spooners it would be pretty much as good as a late first rounder/similar to our Johnson pick this year.Would we be ok with 13, Future 1st and North's Future 2nd for Jackson and 27?

Hope he has fun with Griff. The fact the Peter Bell is not discussing trades this year (being left to Walls) must surely be because he's leaving yeah? Would be a conflict of interest if he was involved in trade week. His lack of presence is a gimme that he's gone.
Maybe. Or Walls is just ready to take the lead now.The fact the Peter Bell is not discussing trades this year (being left to Walls) must surely be because he's leaving yeah? Would be a conflict of interest if he was involved in trade week. His lack of presence is a gimme that he's gone.
Do we know this? Seems odd that they'd go up for that pick which feels about right for GrundyMelbourne might still have to do that to get that top 25 pick Collingwood want for Grundy
You wot mate? The fact the Peter Bell is not discussing trades this year (being left to Walls) must surely be because he's leaving yeah? Would be a conflict of interest if he was involved in trade week. His lack of presence is a gimme that he's gone.
