On topic, why would we not start negotiations off at first and F2?
He's uncontracted ffs
True but we have not loaded up on enough forwards at the draft, only through trade. There are some solid WA forwards next year but more importantly, Kozzie or Naughton may be on the market. Losing our F1 automatically takes us out of the race.Freo have loaded up on enough early draft picks these last few years, don't think missing a year or two of them will hurt too much.
Surely we send a Bakers Hill pie along with the two first rounders?
Mt Barker rates v.high.Denmark and mount barker are good.
Haven’t really found a go to in perth.
Small asian bakery in Northampton...Increadable chicken pies...so worth the drive.I’ve gotten on board most quintessential Aussie food since I’ve gotten here, but Vegemite is a bridge too far. Meat pies on other hand, I would consider having a coronary for. Where’s the best?
You make it sound like list managers don’t lie.
Freo weren’t trading for hogan was traded to them 2 days later.
Neale wasn’t getting trade
I’d wait till next Wednesday before you get on your high horse champ
Optimist. We have been the Trade Week winners the last 3 go arounds of it, feel like this year we may just break even.
I don't like that Jackson deal. But I accept, it's out of my hands - as a mere BigFooty spectator sat comfortably numb in my ivory tower crying endlessly into the wilderness of irrelevance; it is accepted a fate as what it's been touted for a while now.
Clearly our football club REALLY rates Jackson as some enigmatic missing piece of the jigsaw, so I hope for their sake and the frail sanity of the mob here, it's a deal worth its weight in salt. After Hogan's complete implosion based off another risky and high-costing trade (with the same club no less!) I really just don't feel easy about it, but....anyway. It'll be what it'll be.
We better hope we don't go backwards, because a price that high needs justification and the pitchforks are probably already getting stropped in the clean midnight glow.
I wonder if we could extract a 2023 first off Bullies for Lobb and some other chump change/s if the draft next year is as higher valued as others have said..?!
Very Harsh on Taranto, he has shown ability to play quality forward minutes as well as being an excellent ball winner. Tbh I'd probably take him over Jackson if I had the choice.2 teen picks for a 20 year old former #3 who is a tall that has already played 50 games is hardly getting reemed.
Richmond just gave up 2 teen picks for a fomer #2 that is an average size midfielder (probably the most common type of high end footballer) who has already played half his career with average career stats.
Mt Barker rates v.high.
I also like Bred Cafe in Albany. Their pies are great but even better is their bread: the fruit and nut sourdough loaf is unreal. They grow their own wheat at Kendenup, then mill and bake in Albany.
I think he is a good footballer and we would find room for him in our B22!!!Very Harsh on Taranto, he has shown ability to play quality forward minutes as well as being an excellent ball winner. Tbh I'd probably take him over Jackson if I had the choice.
Forget the price surely it's wasted? Stew porterhouse and it's leather.Porterhouse in a stew? With the price of meat these days the Taylor household must be doing pretty well!
Normally these type of posts are nonsense but this is an exception, good effort!Thought I’d have a go at be David Walls for a day. Here is a suggestion of how we can end up with Jackson and Round 1 picks in both 2022 and 2023.
Logue & Tucker to North for 2023 PP2, 2023 PP3 [Unfortunately we are not getting more given how the compo picks worked out]
Meek, 2023 PP3, F3 to Hawthorn for 24 & 50 [values Meek at 47]
13 & F1 & 2023 PP2 to Melb for Jackson, 33 & 42 [gets them 2 x R1, plus a pick for Grundy and overall values Jackson at pick 3]
24, 33 & 42 (1743 points) to Brisbane for F1, F3 [with their own R2 this will get them 2285 which is close enough to the 2300 needed for Ashcroft. They can use points from McStay for Fletcher as their other father-son]
Then;
Lobb and 50 to Western Bulldogs for 15 (which they will get from Brisbane) [values Lobb at pick 23]
Acres to Carlton for F3
Carlton F3 & Bris F3 to GC for Sharp & Corbett [points for their 2023 Academy players]
2022 Draft
Pick 15, 70, + Round 5 picks as needed
2023 Draft
Brisbane F1(15), F2, F3, F4
Done. Bring on draft day.
Did you just reply to yourself? We have been the Trade Week winners the last 3 go arounds of it, feel like this year we may just break even.
