The opportunity to effectively but a top 10 pick will be hot property, and as with all hot property it will not land at StKilda.

If the AFL was an 80s teen movie and Bowes was the rich kid who's just walked into a nightclub wearing a white suit over a black T-shirt and his sunnies on.....

The Saints would be the dowdy chubby girl with a heart of gold and the home made prom dress.

Geelong would be the hot older camp coordinator with big boobs that all the boys lust after.

Melbourne would be the bitchy rich chick that is really only there as a MacGuffin.

Collingwood the sporty girl in a tracksuit but gets a make over and everyone can't believe she was so hot all along.

Carlton are the the nerdy plain girl that does a similar makeover but then the guy ****s off with her best friend in some shock twist at the end of the movie.

GWS and Goldy are the characters two best friends who are just their to make the protagonist look popular.

Essendon are the dodgy racial stereotype Russian girl that gets her comeuppance when she tries to cheat on the math test.

Sydney are the Swedish foreign exchange student with blonde pig tails, booty shorts and tight white T-shirt.

Hawks are the geeky girl that needs a make over but ends up doing well for herself and everyone that picked on her grew up to work in fast food restaurants and servos.

Port Adelaide are the poor girl that tries really hard at her studies but falls in with a bad crowd and goes off the rails.

Adelaide are the rich popular girl that is so pissed off about missing out on being left out of the cheerleading team that she sabotages her teammates.

West Coast are the spoiled ruthless daughter of the richest guy in town that would do anything for their little girl.

Freo is the the black-sheep daughter that the same cruel family don't really love for being a bit plain.

Bulldogs are the working class girl that can dance, the whole movie is made up of montages that show her working an industrial job then dancing in the rain inside an old factory in headband, leggings and a leotard.

Richmond are small town country gal who made it in the big city, she worked hard but it looked like it would never get her anywhere until she got a lucky break when she met some rich guy with his own company called Dustycorp.

Brisbane are a woman in in her early 30s, she made it big early in her career but fell on hard times.... but through grit and a bit of moxie she's back.

There is a god! He was kicked from the Tigers and the rest is history 🏅

He's lovely bloke and everyone who meets him loves him but our forward line was a shambles this year. It's probably good for both.

This narrative that Collingwood is the best environment for him to be him is rubbish.
When did the pies become the standard for model citizens?
What we’ve done in the athlete and individual welfare space over the last half a decade has been second to none.
They are the one club that we know for sure can't manage his behaviour.

Maybe Collingwood will counter with an offer of 2 years with no clauses, not as risky as a 5 year deal with no clauses. Interesting times ahead for the Pies.
If DeGoey signs a two year guaranteed contract over a five year guaranteed contract then his brother in law should resign as a fireman as well as player manager.

This JDG stuff is nuts. Do Collingwood back down on the clauses? Is this a plan to get to the Saints? Wtf is going on here???

What was the go with Ely Smith?
Seemed to rack it up at VFL level and is a good size. Hard midfield to squeeze into at Brisbane
Might be a good one to flag to have a run around in the preseason.

Was playing forward and wasn't his forte.

Collingwood is still hopeful Jordan De Goey will re-sign on a five-year deal despite rejecting a contract offer with vague behaviour-based clauses.
De Goey has told the Pies he will not accept the current five-year deal that would give the Pies the right to move him on after two years if he committed another infraction.
De Goey was handed a suspended fine by the Pies for his Bali escapades during the mid-season bye but recently had his contract upped from a four-year offer to five seasons at $800,000.
If he dodged controversy for the first two seasons of the deal he would be guaranteed the remaining three years of the contract.
The Pies board is not prepared to offer him a guaranteed sum without behaviour-based clauses given a string of incidents across his nine-season career.
It is unclear exactly what clauses De Goey would be subjected to under the current contract, but it’s understood he is seeking more clarity on what would constitute a breach.

De Goey will back in his improved behaviour after seeking help for the ADHD diagnosis he believed put him in risky situations.
But he would want a watertight definition given his previous issues mean he cannot guarantee he will completely avoid future controversy.

The Pies had been confident De Goey would stay under the five-year deal because St Kilda has not offered the monster deal that might have dragged him out of the club.
The Saints have instead offered a responsible deal that they believe would appeal to De Goey if he wanted a fresh start at another team.
Collingwood believes De Goey wants to stay as a marquee player at a club that can only enhance his brand, with the star also aware of Collingwood’s open premiership window.
But they will have to go back to the drawing board with his manager Ryan Vague to try to drill down into the exact clauses that he would approve.

Nah we're the good bloke with decent all round qualities with the potential to get the superstar model hot chick but everytime we are just about to seal the deal something bad happens (girls family move overseas / rich old boyfriend comes back into fold / the girl dies) and we are left holding our **** and balls in a very public awkward place
