Solid but scrappy win in the end. Poulter was excellent, Macraes second half was much better, Brown started like a freight train and finished with a whimper. 7 disposals over the course of the last 3 quarters isn’t good enough for an onballer.
AJ and Begg getting injured sucks, particularly the former.
Cox is so much better and more influential playing as first ruck than as a key forward that it’s not funny.
Where do we play Grundy to maximise Cox? 211cm is annoying to say the least when you're rucking.

Kids got beatun up a bit today but some really good footy from our VFL listed boys and a coue.of seniors got us through. Cox and Poulter the only real chances of a call up

McGoven just did the same thing in the 1st quarter. Certainly not a hanging offence.
I'm probably more critical of it than necessary due to having coached junior basketball, where kids wandering around with the ball without a plan is so common that eradicating the habit is a major focus.

No. I was asking the question so we could have Cox ruck and Grundy play somewhere else. He was taking marks today. So maybe a forward???
I gave you an answer and you literally asked the same question over again. And now you’ve asked it again. Do you think if you keep asking it over and over that the answer will change?

Imma give up here, let it go to the keeper.

Just speculating, but he was on crutches at the end of the game (according to the commentary), so it's a fair concern.
I fear that Ash Johnson may be another one of numerous Collingwood recruits in recent times who rarely get on the park due to soft tissue injuries? I hope that I am wrong but deep down I fear that I may be right. Goodnight & good luck.

Yep, I hope not as well, as he can certainly play. I don't know what his injury record was like prior to his joining us, but we do seem capable of turning normally fit blokes into often injured ones, that's for sure!
