I'm more of the perspective there may not be a place for him in the starting 23 next year, barring a catastrophic 2023-esque run of injuries.
Logan, McLean, Amartey and probably Buller (Reid also, if still on the list) are all better forwards than Ladhams. Being a better forward is more important than being a better 2nd ruck.
If Grundy is fit, I cant see Ladhams playing.

Any thoughts on Jackson Hately?

Delisted from Adelaide, 191cm midfielder.

Agree there’s a lot of luck involved.
Firstly the ex players have to have kids.
Then they have to be boys.
Then they have to suitable physical attributes.
And most importantly, they have to be very coordinated and be excellent footballing prospects…. all in all, the odds are stacked against top F/S picks coming through 🤷‍♂️
Unless their dad's played for Footscray, Geelong or Collingwood.

Presumably with players starting to come back to the club for the Skilton on Thursday night, some might have another exit interview, before the first round of list changes...?

Yep. Feel for those uncontracted.

I only say that as he could end up he's stuck behind the likes of McLean, Logan, Buller, Amartey, and that Melbourne need to replace Grundy with a forward/ruck option, which is what they were hoping would happen with BG.

If he thinks he's only going to be playing VFL, would he consider it?

Oliver swap for Heeney would do both players well. I think Heeney needs a fresh start and Oliver would be an upgrade. Throw in a next year's second rounder to sweeten.

Dees get a forward / mid and we get a mid we badly need.

I'm sure this will be received well

I wouldn't be against it to be honest. As amazing as Heeney's highs are he does not get to those highs nearly enough. A change of clubs might actually be the kick in the arse he needs to finally find some consistency.

In a team with a firing midfield heeney would be the best forward in the comp behind Cameron and curnow. There's a reason he was AA last year. Gotta stop looking at him as some game breaking all rounder who can go into the midfield and run the game - that's not what he is, but for some reason that's what everyone thinks and expects him to be. He's untouchable for mine and should be a full time forward.

HSun further confirming the Joel Hamling trade, sounds like it's almost a done deal

Grundy - we will only offer 31 or 42

Also says Dow to St Kilda almost a lock as well
