* List lodgement dates are yet to be made public, so are approximate based on past history and the requirements of the AFL Rules. When lists are lodged, the number of players on the list must not exceed maximum list sizes. At the same time, clubs must provide the AFL with estimates of total player payments in the current and following year, which must prove the club is not and will not exceed the salary cap. (AFL Rules 5.3, 6.1, 6.8, 7.2, 7.9)

Assuming at least half the rumours & reports are true, I’m excited that as a club we’re now looking at some trades to address our needs while we’re in “the window” (à la the Tigers, Cats & Pies)… and also we seem to be a destination club all of a sudden (probably for the same reason)

Zerk Thatcher is underrated.

He was played out of position at Essendon because they had no one else in key defense, but he is a good medium defender.

If it’s what gets him here I’d take that risk. I’d prefer 4 with an option in Grundys favour with triggers for that 5th

He is a Nathan Murphy style medium defender. They have been playing him at full back.

He is worth about pick 25. I think he is a better player than Ratugolea.

He is a contracted player, it's not the same as when they are uncontracted and they can just announce weeks in advance where they want to go.

It will be one of the first deals done.
