Oliver just missed half a season with a bung hammy.

The only reason I can think of that Melbourne would be interested in a trade is if they're worried about his durability.

A bloke with bung hammies on a long term contract & huge $ is a big risk.
Like when we palmed Hannebery off to the Saints

He is a contracted player, it's not the same as when they are uncontracted and they can just announce weeks in advance where they want to go.

It will be one of the first deals done.
Agree, this one isn't going to run like a normal trade would. 4-year contracted player, with complexities to it as well.

Depending on which journo is saying what, the deal is either a "long way down the road", or "playing hardball" 🤷‍♂️

Consensus is it will be done quickly so Melbourne can move on quickly.

Joel Hamling expected to move to Sydney

He is a Nathan Murphy style medium defender. They have been playing him at full back.

He is worth about pick 25. I think he is a better player than Ratugolea.

Highly generous if he’s worth pick 25 then McKay is worth pick 1 plus

I realise you think nearly every player in the league sucks.

BZT is a pretty good medium defender. And if he is played in his right role, is a valuable player and would get a game in nearly every team including ours.

Pretty good doesn’t mean early second though. Pick 35-45 is about right. There is no way on earth he’s worth a first rounder
