Can we pin this please?

He has really resurrected his career against the odds - has deep connections in the industry and SEN prepared to back him. The Hardwick leaving tigers scoop cemented his comeback credibility

I preferred it when they all had no idea what swans were up to - now we’re linked to all and sundry
Good on him. It seemed like the Bulldogs tried to kill him off after he angered Beveridge. I didn’t think what he said was so bad when I heard the audio. Not great, but I would be shocked if most journos hadn’t said worse in private.

The leaking of the audio, and outing of his colleague, was worse in my mind, far worse.

That was a weird “denial”. Sydney are way stronger, they get CEO to background journo and then book themselves on next talk show and say categorically something.

Hardly a unequivocal no tho.

Remember Harley coming out to quash the Parker to Essendon rumors 5yrs ago with "under no circumstances will Parker be traded"

Exactly where as Dylan Stephens we haven't said shit

Breaking News - Fremantle is interested in Logan McDonald.

I am guessing they are probably half keen on Warner as well.
Throw Caleb Serong our way and we might at least talk

I just want to say.....ABOUT BLOODY TIME that we are going to be active again when the trade period begins next week. It's exciting. I feel like all we have done is give since we got Bud, now we can hopefully land a few targets

Don't get too excited yet as Sydney has a very good record in the last 10 years of having our big targets fall through.

Yer thats what i mean but then you wonder why?

Melbourne a premiership contender in their window would trade one of their biggest assets.

Red flag? or genuine risk to improve their side

Who knows? Maybe they seem him as their version of Brodie Grundy and they just want to cut and run when they have the chance.

All I know is referring to one of your superstars as a 'required player' sounds like the kind of thing a team says when they are preparing to discuss trades.

Yep seems the most realistic, whether we'd do it who honestly knows, but if it means getting Oliver personally probably do it. We did draft a small forward last season. Just thinking out loud really, it's a tricky one.
We are increasingly using Papley to win contested positions around centre bounces and stoppages. Oliver would be a huge upgrade. Is prefer to keep Papley and only use picks, but I would trade him for Oliver.

I think there will also be a few fake rumours.

If we were supposedly willing to pay big money for Barrass and McKay, therefore we will probably be linked to most available defenders. Whether it is media speculation or agents trying to drive up a player's price. So I am skeptical about the Hamling talk.

Paywall no idea if its anything new

More speculation

If I was an AFL player I wonder how the media would perceive my actions since I too would actively avoid post season celebrations and functions if I could, not because of any bad reason, but because I am an introvert who hates those sort of events.

Perhaps Oliver is just an introvert.
