Hard to judge given it's the Suns, but he hasn't been able to keep a bunch of talented players motivated even with finals a possibility. Maybe it's not on him, but it's not a good audition.

I'm guessing only finals would've saved his job. There have been small incremental improvements overall each year he's been there, and I'd say the board expected a bump on the 10-12 record last season, which probably won't come.

Brutal call, but they did give him a decent crack.
