Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Ive got one for everyone. Hear me out. If Henry wants to leave and a team in melbs wants him.

Trade Out - Pick 21 (Norths) + Henry
Trade In - First Rounder

Trade Out - Future First and Second + The first gotten from above.
Trade In - Naughton

Is this even close at all? this is if Naughton even wants to come home 😅

I'd do it but the dogs won't and also Naughton won't come home

+ We would have to bring in an F2 in that scenario due to afl rules

Yeah id do it as well. He would be the missing piece to the puzzle. I think he would eventually come home. Just not this year

Wouldn’t mind upgrading North’s second if we can.

Any Toby Greene types in this draft?

WB wouldn’t do it but it’s not a yuck scenario, i mean haven’t we learnt from posters losing it over recruiting Jackson which is worth every cent and draft pick as Naughton would be.
Yeah you do it once.

But 6 draft picks (high ones at that) for 2 players (and Naughton can barely kick goals)

Hard no on Naughton. Thought he was very average today.

We need match winners in the forward line.
I’m so concerned we are not turning over the list enough this year.
Too many players that will not make it as AFL footballers tied up on deals beyond this year hurts the club so badly in a hidden manner - walls is a specialist in finding quality late gems in the draft but we aren’t even giving him that much of a chance this year by the sound of things. We need to take at least 4 ND picks plus some rookies.
This list build is not near complete

Sam Flanders is the moneyball option that I’d like to see us going hard for if possible this year. He was a goal kicking mid/forward as a junior. Would give an F2 no problem for him

Any decent KPD available this off-season?
Watching JUH fly for marks today and thought be good if we had a player like that. Maybe Cox could offer something similar. Great mits, reads it well and reliable kick.
I wanna see Coxy moved forward for a bit and see how he compliments Jye.

Not sure where this leaves JT tho,

DGB maybe covers the move.
And a “healthy Chappy” eventually covers the lack of polish

So AFL to introduce a mid season trade period.

Just the type of thing to * a non-victorian team that requires stability up.

It has to be seen as a tactical tool against an opponent if you're in a position to cripple them with a massive offer for a key player.

But every single player has to be considered in contract so ultimately I would think it's more going to be guys like Brodie looking for game time.

They might even have rules in place about a maximum games played.
