We have tried Kennedy down back this year, Doc on the wing and on ball, Cerra down back but haven’t tried Saad anywhere else. I’ve seen many people say Saad doesn’t have the tank but I’ve never known what that’s based on, he is super fit and would be great if he was able to get more front half possessions.

I would love for us to try him in a more attacking role, even if just in bursts.

Pretty sure it’s based on Saad himself saying he doesn’t have the tank

Can anybody tell me who is currently in Carltons list management team?

Nick Austin is our list manager but who is working under him area scouts etc.... pretty sure Agresta and Brodie who worked under SOS are still involved?

Obviously Voss and Lloyd would also have input. It would be interesting to know the structure, we have clearly failed in this area for far too long and it is such a key area to the clubs future success.

The only other name I know is Luff and I’m unsure of his role

I was into Flanders and even suggested him earlier this season. Since then I've paid more attention to him at Suns games and so far I'm pretty underwhelmed in just about every aspect.

His supposed strengths don't really appear on field. He looks on paced, without real power and his kicking lacks penetration from what I can see with skills and touch just being so-so. I don't really see much in him unfortunately. It's disappointing as his strengths on paper/from draft reports indicate he actually would be the exact player we could use but alas on field at AFL level they don't really appear.
Yeah there was a reason he slid back in his draft year after being touted as a top 5 pick, also why we traded the pick that Gold Coast used to get him as we knew his issues back then, but your right on paper he should have been another Caleb Serong but unfortunately just doesn’t seem to have what it takes at the top level.

Was just adding a bit more to the players that i also liked myself that were suggested by another couple of posters earlier, whether the club is interested time will tell but they all profile well by age and positional/skill set needs..
I’d like to see the club take a chance on Ramshaw and Dozzi through our own development system, both youngsters imo are clearly a step above any other kids their age that we have had coming through our reserves system, both have a good balance within their games for the modern game…
The absence of a couple of developing key defenders and another key forward needs to be addressed as well…
Yeah I agree completely on Ramshaw and Dozzi both have shown plenty at VFL level and are developing really well under Power and co, Dozzi’s game a couple of weeks ago really impressed me with his hardness and want for the contested ball and Ramshaw also with his burst from the stoppage something we could really use in the seniors.

Hopefully we keep a tight grip on them as both have huge upside I think and it would be a typical Carlton thing to do to lose both like we did years ago with Marcon and more importantly Lambert who we know became a premiership player for Bitchmond.

A couple others I’d look at if as reported Fisher ends up going to West Coast would be:

Campbell Chesser
Coby Burgiell
Jack Petrucelle

We could use Petrucelles speed which we are lacking around the front half, Burgiell while only drafted last year is that medium marking forward we are crying out for, and Chesser the pick of the bunch and a wing/ midfielder that was cruelled by injury in his draft year yet still went at pick 14 which given a full year I think would have been inside the top 10 and maybe even pushing for top 5, all would add something to our list and would be major upgrades on our current depth players.

Burgiel for me, but can't see that happening

Burgiel i was hoping we picked up in last year’s draft, rated him top 15 player he’s been on WCE injury list most of the year unfortunately…

Chesser another one i really liked who’s also had their share of injury problems since being recruited has extended until 2025…

Petrucelle is extremely quick but IMO other than that is an ordinary footballer, I’d rather a third round draft pick for Fisher if he decides to head back home instead of doing any type of deal/swap involving Petrucelle…

Totally agree with your comments on Ramshaw and Dozzi 👍

Are are rumoured to be into any rucks?

If TDK goes we're screwed.

Zero depth behind Pittonet. Mirkov is not depth.

We also have no-one on our list who can play the ruck/fwd role.
Every year about half a dozen clubs are involved in a chain of ruck trades from one to the next. Suspect it wouldn't be too hard for us to deal ourselves into that this year if need be.

Yeah but these are plodder ruckman that don't shift the dial. We already have one of those signed for the next 4 years.

We also need one that can rest forward. They don't grow on trees.

If we lose Tom de Koning then we should target Hayden McLean from the Swans. Out of contract this year and a Victorian.

Plays more as a KPF that can assist in the ruck, which is probably better for structure. Not a worldbeater but will do his role well as the foil for Harry & Charlie up forward and Pittonet in the ruck.

Would probably cost a mid/late 2nd and would be on less salary than TDK for a similar team function without the huge 'upside'.

Someone who is 'depth behind Pittonet' and someone who can 'shift the dial' are two very different propositions. I expect we can easily find depth if we need it, so no need to panic if TDK leaves.

Shifting the dial is more a question of priorities -- would we prefer to spend picks & cap space on a ruck/fwd or on something else e.g. a quality hff? -- which is a whole other conversation.

Google, lol. Check out their take on Harry and twin brother Ben's birthplace. Apparently Harry born in Warragul, Ben in the UK.
Guiness book of records....
"The longest interval between the birth of twins is 90 days, in the case of Molly and Benjamin West, dizygotic (fraternal) twins born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA to parents Lesa and David West (all USA) on 1 January and 30 March 1996.30 Mar 1996"
Having a transcontinental flight between the births of Harry and Ben whilst possible typo more probable!
