We know the club would have moved him on last year if he wasn't contracted, so that wouldn't surprise me. His focus is probably more on trying to get another club to give him a gig on their rookie list next year.

He isn't the future and he isn't pivotal to our future success, I don't understand why people insist on spending all this time talking about him.

Clubs have traded out plenty of better players than Paddy over the years with a lot less fuss.
I have my doubts if any of the criticism about wether Dow plays or not is really about wether Dows plays or not. Or Binns, or name your guy...
I fancy its just an excuse to find fault in things for the sake of it.
I mean hellfires even when we win we win the wrong way. What hope ever?

Can see him going to another club, having a great half a year, fading into being a fringe player at an average club, then no one ever talking about him again. Those will be the days

Think everyone knows you're anti Dow mate, you even started a thread on it...

Blind Freddie can see Dow has contributed, when given the opportunity as Sub the last 3 weeks...
How that translates to a full game who knows, looks like he won't be given the opportunity so we can all only speculate...

Though, Dow's 3 quarters as Sub has produced more, than any of Curnow, Hewett or Honey's quarters this year...
Absolutely spot on, it is a complete head in the sand stuff, we are bottom 6, we are past caring now another club will benefit next year.

Vossy comments on Pitto upon signing his latest contract being durable, so far from reality, he is injured & missing for the 3rd year in a row.

Precisely, there is no other explanation that makes sense , it just amazes me.

Are we?

We just won our first game in 7 weeks without Hewitt and Ed, what makes anyone think we're a better team if one of those come back in, let alone if both do?

Sorry guys I'm ******* done. see ya's in trade week.

Stay solid mate. Keep posting. You concerned like all of us. Looking forward to the Hawks game. . Go Carlton.

Concerning news re Pittonets recurring/continuing knee issues - it compromises the ruck rotations and forces the selection of Silvagni at the cost of some leg speed on the HFF and rotating height out of the forward line in the form of TDK. BY teh sounds of it it is also a situation likely to have to be managed for more than just this week.

Very different clearance dynamics now.

Nothing that Dow or Ed or Hewett included to excluded are going to address - no matter how much chatter is made about them on here.

Agree.

TDK needs to play a blinder.

Everybody likes to talk about Pitto's contract but does anybody actually know the terms of that contract? Do you know what he's being paid, whether it's conditional on the number of games played etc? Are there terms for early termination of the contract if he doesn't meet certain KPIs?

None of us knows what people on the inside know. It's all just speculation on our part.

I hope TDK plays … otherwise I’d rather go in with no rucks whatsoever … please no Young no offense all due respect and all that …

I still reckon Dow is treading water for someone else, in the NRL the players can nominate to change clubs the year before it happens, look at the Dragons right now their bloke wants to change teams now during the season. I'm convinced that Paddy has done a Henderson and all but jumped ship, and the club knows!!!! Why else would they continually go around him, someone please explain it.
People move on from Paddy, he's outa here
So we drop TDK too?

We know the terms , 4 years mate , even if we paid him a Big Mac meal every week it’s too much .. always injured and doesn’t play .. what’s the point

Do you know that the contract can't be terminated early under certain conditions?

Logic doesn't belong here take it elsewhere

I reckon baggers supporters on here are in the majority better than what you’re implying here…
If we go a bit deeper with the “name your guy” argument- most half lucid sofa kinda loving blues supporters may keenly observe that guys like Dow make us faster, a bit different, a bit less predictable, maybe even a bit better…
I watch along of even a few quarters of the best teams going around: Lions, Pies, Port shows how the game is being played. Interested in your thoughts. Go Blues.

Yeah, it's definitely the biggest concern to come from selection this week, we are in a spot of bother if TDK goes and Pitto continues to struggle next year.

What we do know is his durability is a major concern, & 4 years on this basis is risky.
If we lose TDK we are in trouble in this area, with Pitto battling to stay fit & healthy & his limitations.

I just posted something similar, it is certainly a concern. Although his limitations don't concern me so much, we are better when he's getting the ball to the midfielders.

Now Ralphy reckons TDK is in big doubt.....

No Pitto (who for some stupid reason we gave extra years to!!), no other ruck other than stand in's like JSOS and Young, so maybe that's who we back in??

Give Haitch some time too as well when it's forward
