The bye hoodoo should be gone by the team we play - I back the Bulldogs to beat Freo at Marvel and Port to beat * at the G

However if Freo and * win, we are probably screwed

OUT: Cottrell, Boyd
IN: Binns, Dow

Need to pick things up in terms of our counterattack, and Boyd just isn't cutting it right now despite some decisive kicks at times, with his run being mediocre. Funnel that through Saad and Cincotta, with Docherty sitting back and distributing more.

Dow forces Walsh to the wing more, and between the two we'll have better control when we're not getting things clean from first possession to a receive option at the stoppage, particularly at the centre bounce.

Binns for Cottrell is straight forward enough, and further emphasises the need for a little more speed through midfield and on the outside via a re-shuffle.

Carlton has played 36 games under Voss.

Jesse Motlop has played 24 of those of which we have won 8.

Without Jesse we have won 10 out of 12.

No idea what this means, it's probably a coincidence, but it's interesting.
yeah, reminds me of our performances under Ray Brew

If you overlayed tackles inside fwd 50 with and without motlop you might have your answer

He didn’t get a chance to debut until rd9 last year, so missed most of our good run to start the season.

Boyd stays. Developing nicely and kicking is better than Docherty and Cincotta.

The only way that happens is if you move Walsh or Cerra to the wing.
I’m happy to see Walsh on a wing use his tank to find space and doesn’t have to get smashed in the midfield. He is an asset that’s needs some protection.Dow is used to being tagged he made it look easy in the contest his last game

Can’t see it happening, big change in structure to what was finally a functioning line-up.

Doch was successful on the wing & Walsh found some form in the middle.

Think Boyd has got his fair bit of praise as well. Best kick in the team by some stretch IMO.

Why Boyd ?

I have to think positive regarding this game! I don’t even want to think about post bye win/loss results yada yada.
If we drop this one, the piranhas will be out in force!
