I know this isn't the thread for it, but on current form is have Richmond beating all of Dogs, Saints and Kangas. Dogs just copped another 2 injuries to key defenders as well so are weakened.
Dogs KD’s doesn’t help, Richmond better team at the MCG, haven’t played a game at Marvel so far this year and come up against imo a better team in the Dogs who play the ground well, Saints play the ground better as well just a matter if they’re good enough on the day not much splitting the two teams imo…
Real log jam of teams in and outside of the eight, that’s for sure…

In Greece, it took me about 5 hours to watch the game due to constant VPN issues, but it was bloody worth it.

We came, we saw, we dominated. Congrats to the entire team on the win.

Sad news about Cerra hopefully, he's ok.

Santorini, an amazing place.
Beautiful island, amazing views over the caldera.

I remember watching a prelim final in 2012 in a place called the Tropical Bar, with my brother who’s a Collingwood supporter… saw the Pies go down to the Swans. :)

It’s amazing how a simple approach of unity transformed underdone players to their best.

We all knew Jack Martin’s potential, and how he transformed himself has been inspirational.

I agree Jack Martin has been one of the real leaders of this whole turnaround. He's just hard at the ball and the opposition 100% of the time. Set such a great example and others have followed. Backing it up with very straight kicking in front of goal.

Had some bad moments
Blind kick to Pendles in the centre square to set up first goal
Weak contest against Maynard
Poor positioning on JDaicos in the 3 rd for the snap goal
Which contest, not the one where Hollands tackles Maynard and then pushes him into the ground in the tackle.. Didn’t see too many others lay as good a tackle on Maynard.

Nope the one where Maynard knocked him in side and he lost his feet too easily( At the game it looked like it was in the back but watching the replay it was in the side just like the one JDaicos got a fre for). A function of being too light but it resulted in a score.

You all see this footage?

Incredible off the ball running to even be an option inside f50...goal only happened thanks to elite running and workrate from Hollands and Martin.

So good. Such a great example of how difficult a position the HFF is to play. He busted his gut for a 150m sprint to provide an option which probably gets overlooked 9 times out of 10.

No I hadnt seen it. Thanks for sharing.

That is incredible amount of running. He basically ran at 80-90% of max speed for 50 m and put the foot down to 100% whilst waving his arms about like the car yard balloons for another 50-60 m before marking. Interestingly he still had energy to kick accurately.

A perfect example of elite work rate. No wonder no we are demolishing teams.

Very impressive.

And to think it wasn't that long ago we were nursing him through games and subbing him out cause he couldn't run out games.

Reinforces what I think we all knew he was capable of but frustratingly hadn't seen it. Guy copped a lot of criticism over the years (and with pretty good reason) but he's probably the most frustrated person out there about his injuries which have derailed his career...and we don't see all the time players spend in hospital, seeing specialists, recovering from injury etc. I'm sure he's had some dark and down days with his body breaking down and copping it from the fan base, but it's great to see him string games together and in top form.

Love how the Pies supporters are saying "We should have won is it wasn't for bad goal kicking" . That is the reason they have won half the games they have over the last 2 years, especially rd23 last year. Coming from 5 goals down at 3qtr time is not something good teams have to do. Contested footy wins finals.

It has been a bit of a reality check for NDaicos as teams have seen the chink in the armour. Can he play in the midfield in a final? Put the ball between him and Jack Viney, who is getting the ball? My money is on Viney. We saw a lot of short steps on Friday. Also gets rid of the ball very quickly rather than taking the tackle.

One of the few disappointments for me was the amount of marks Pies took I50. The talls apart from Weiters need to do much better.

Now we are in the 8 Newman needs to go into AA contention. He has been outstanding.

Yeah, they played good football apart from the scoring bit?

It's not like kicking goals is some marginal skill - it's the entire point of the game!

Our defence made it hard for them at every turn. AND kicked better at goal.

Half the games in our bad patch during the year we may have won IF we had of kicked better.. bad kicking is bad football, similar to the catches win matches in cricket.
