just to give you something to bleat about - god how tiresome........

As opposed to your many wonderful contributions. 5 posts on the current page, all responding to other posters and none mention a single addition about the game or the team. Just constant and unnecessary chirping at other posters

Again, I don't know how you continue to avoid bans considering you do this repeatedly

I come in peace, just alerting you that in your poll you've left off no.1 Donlon, 17. Howorth, 33. Wallace and 37. Rodger.

Your boys put up a great fight today. You were missing your 2 key backs, and when we put a little pressure on you in the third you buckled. You also found another gear at the end of the game to score those last 4 goals and keep it respectable when we put the cue in the rack.

All the best for the rest of the year.

Ollie and Lachie playing above their years

VFL watchers talking up Binns as a potential in

How much did Austin smash this draft!?
Only watched a bit of the reserves but lemmey also kicked a beatiful goal from 50 on an angle took another mark played on got caught but he will either make a player for us or be positive trade return ..

Coz he’s not a miserable dogshit killjoy?

Another week, another bad performance and yet a win. I said before it that i thought North were being underrated and it was a 50/50 game and in the rnd it wasnt far off. They beat us 29 scoring shots to 27, but having two big key forwards and their lack of defenders was the difference.

But sheesh, how does a team that missed out on its first top 8 finish in over a decade (after badly blowing consecutive leads) by % put the cue in the rack that badly in the last 5 minutes and just concede 4 straight goals?
Im gonna put this down to you having a ‘mare. 2 points down at half time after playing contested football all first half. To being 40 up in the last. I’m not saying we played amazing all game but our best is certainly good enough. We put them in their place and put the cue in the rack. Against a Thursday night game coming up in Adelaide against a pumped up crows in front of a pumped up crow crowd.. we did just fine tonight.

Well on LOB no argument from me

Fisher one of our better contributors, 2nd for disposals, 4th for contested ball, mid table for pressure, same for usage, 2nd for clearances. So, still won't be dropped

Fish got better as the game went on. Solid game.

Motlop huge with those goals from outside 50m...I wasn't sure he had that distance. Provided the spark.

Gov top class. Great intercepting and kicking.

Charlie BOG. Mckay good also although is completely bereft of confidence kicking for goal when on the left side of the field.

Newman solid again with some great kicks.

Cowans hardness stood out in the first half particularly. Already seems so reliable.

Quite a few players had pretty average games though. Reinforcements next week coming at a good time.

Not convinced we have an excellent coach. That first half was embarrassingly bad in so many areas. What do they do all week?
A bit too much of the Malthouse philosophy where the Boundary is your best friend. Gives opposition plenty of time to semi flood our forward line. In the 3rd quarter we were more direct and had our forwards move out giving Charlie and harry space and on some occasions one out.

Hope it’s in the plan and not just really poor footy….we were frustrating in the first half.

IMO the same thing has happened all 4 games this year where we look a different team after half time.

I'm optimistic that its part of the plan. Worked so far this year, 1 of 2 undefeated teams, possibly top of ladder end of this round.

Our talls were absolutely dominant against a reduced North tall outfit. North mids/runners beat our reduced outfit of midfield/runners.

I thought we rope a doped them a bit. Just played slow while the run was in the game the first half. And then got it moving better when they got a bit tired , allowing our talls to dominate.

We play a style that our personel demand. We are not quick so we have to play slow and deliberate for large parts of the game. It isn't pretty but to play a free flowing game with very few running mids would be foolish. Walsh has been a huge, huge loss. He is our running, linking machine. Saady, Olli and Doc at times have done a sterling job of giving us some run, but we have much less than most teams when Walsh is out.

But we have a lot of strengths too, and the most important one, winning footy games is becoming one of them. We have an elite spine, we work our asses off, and i love our 2 ruck set-up.

Well done Vossy and team for going 3 wins and a draw without Walshy.

There are very very few easy games of footy in AFL. Maybe 1 or 2 a year if you're lucky(and not Geelong FC). All our 4 games so far, the oppo have been up for it.

I like how Cowan takes the mark then ducks his head when expects contact he reminds me of Peter Dean dependable and tough.
You made a good call we would pull away in the second I was nervous but optimistic
ducking your head a sign of toughness? hardly, peter dean wouldn't wanna be described that way either - utter tosh........
