I reckon Ed was the tactical sub based on an assumption Bont would be tearing us up and he would be deployed early to attempt the tag (as mentioned by others, Ed has a tank and doesn't have the explosiveness you might otherwise expect from a sub, although neither does Kennedy). Didn't exactly come to pass and was maybe too smart by half...

But on the sub, why are people barely entertaining the idea that subbing off Hollands was because of injury or injury concerns?

The amount of times we just stand firmly on our heels in a zone and the opposition just cuts its way through is ****ed.

We are so dumb that someone takes a mark 55m out and we still try and get out of the 5m zone.

Pretty dull watching as a middling team.

Exactly how I feel. Might need a new hobby this year. Just don't have any interest in watching the footy.

And i say that having watched nearly every game through this rebuild. From 2015 onwards. Even the bad ones. I love this club and when we're on top again I want to say that I was there at the lowest ebb and still didn't give up.

But right now... just so so flat

We don’t have the luxury of going H2H - not balanced enough around the ball.

Most of our main midfielders are all limited with speed and defensive run, no doubt but,
if we don’t then let’s just keep making it easier by letting the ball flicked out so teams can hit up their teammates, switching and rebounding with easy running chains..
