I have gone through grief, then guilt, then sadness. Im at the stage of anger. Its called the Blues Recovery Program for ailing supporters. Its designed to prepare us for the next 30 years.

I’d trade McKay for a first round pick at end of season unless the coaching brains trust proves in the second half of the season they can make this forward line work.
Trade him to north for their first and we send TDK or our first as well and pick up Reid. How sad that this our thought process at the end of round 9.

Or is Cripps, he is the main reason we lost that game.

An absolute liability in the middle and when the game was ours Libba then Smith kick goals on him and game over.
He offers nothing and then to make it worse doesn’t chase or tackle mainly because he is too slow.

An absolute disgrace for a Captain let alone Brownlow Medallist.

0 tackles and the lowest DE%. So shit disposal and zero defensive effort. He's a fan favourite but my god anyone else would be crucified for that level of crap.

Offers nothing to the side at the moment.

It’s becoming a concern how often we kick down the line or inside 50 to Durdin or Owies. McKay and Curnow far too often don’t even make it to the contest to bring the ball to ground. What on earth is going on.. System breaking down? Lazy work rate from Charlie and Harry? Lack of football IQ? Or that’s what they’re being instructed?

Look, I don't think we should be evaluating our season at round 9. Let's not obsess over these things. We have to be better.
Do you honestly see us pulling it together before we play top 4 quality sides over the next 3 weeks? We needed to find some form and beat the dogs and or lions at home and then pinch one against one of the next 3 so we could at least be 6-1-5 come the end of round 12.

The lack of confidence this group has atm there isn't much hope we will be anything but 4-1-7 and dead in the water at the halfway point of the season we really had to find form and confidence before this run and now it's going to end our season effectively.

Good result in the end. Certainly didn't deserve to win.

Very few positives amongst that. Thought Cottrell worked incredibly hard. Owies good when he needed to be. Rated Newman and Walsh. I'll have a spare $800 to spend on other things next year.

Not a great deal of leadership down there at the moment. Carlton lose again and life goes on.

How on earth is that a good result?

One of the worst halves of football produced by a Carlton team in my lifetime. A brief rally (supported by the Bulldogs missing some easy shots themselves), before an utter collapse in the last 20 minutes.

We kicked 59 points against a mid table team, with essentially a full squad playing, and two Coleman medallists up front.

Oh, and we have now lost 4 out of 5 and play top spot next week.

I know our standards are low as a club but that was a shitful performance and a 20 minute patch of decent form doesnt change a thing

As ugly as it is. People have had enough mate. Cant blame anyone anymore except for the club
Are you kidding? The people referred to are adults choosing to be like that so they probably should be the ones blamed - if the team's performance forces their apparently simple brains to be like that at the football maybe the club doesn't actually want them. If any of what they apparently said was heard on field/broadcast, the club would tear up their membership in no time

Hear hear

We just need to equalise the spare - too focussed on all-in
That’s the problem, every week i sit there and watch the lack respect or accountability to man up the opposition spares, even when we we’re being beaten directly in the ruck contest we seem to stubbornly stick to backing in our own setups…

If Cerra went onto the ball in the last 1/4 we win.

If Cripps didn’t play we win.

If Voss wasn’t coach, Cripps would have been moved and we win.

I blame Voss because he let him stink it up all game and didn’t move him.

The opposition are rubbing their hands together when he is on ball.

I'm a Cripps fan but 0 tackles is unacceptable especially when you're chasing tail most of the game.

We don’t have the luxury of going H2H - not balanced enough around the ball.
