Don't lose faith
Ha I always have blind faith in our lads.... Until I don't
Speaking of..
Membrey dominated Gould in the second half and was a major factor in the Saints getting back into it.

That’s a very big call based on one game.Having seen a fair bit of Melican, Francis and Gould at VFL / AFL level this year, I'd say Arnold is a better player than all 3. He has literally walked in to the team and already shows he is more composed than the others. Give him a few weeks and I think he will be pushing for Paddy's spot in our AFL defence.
Buller was immense today. We need someone like him who is hungry. Helps that he kicked a bag as well............
I've watched a bit of Lions reserves too as they are my "second" team living up here. I think he's better than our current depth KPDs.That’s a very big call based on one game.
Having said that - I kinda hope you’re right.
Doubt he will. If TMac doesn't return, I think we'll stick with the current defence. Last night, as with any game we continually butcher the ball and fail to convert, there's only so much they can deal with. It'd be poetic if Arnold made his senior debut this week at the Gabba.
Need to bring Buller in for a solid target inside 50.
Next week against Brisbane would be a bloody handy debut from his POV.Having seen a fair bit of Melican, Francis and Gould at VFL / AFL level this year, I'd say Arnold is a better player than all 3. Yea no doubt he's probably physically not ready for week in week out games in the seniors, but his attack and what he does with the ball now it just seems like he's found his feet as a senior level player
Possibly once we get a more functional forward line, he'll look better there. Given he came on board with plaudits for kicking bags, and a future as an inside mid. But hey, a medium defender wouldn't be terrible.Magor was unbelievable today. I am a big Rankin fan and he has quietly put together a very good month, but Magor was on another level. The desperate lunges and reading of the play was I feel like what we hoped we'd get from Gould at the time we drafted him (not saying they're similar players, but Magor does play above his height considering he's only 185cm.)
Didn't see much to get excited about when he was forward. Maybe he winds up back there eventually but he's looked real good across half back.
Haven’t seen the game if he is a small forward, possies are never going to get high. If he needs to have a game getting touches they should throw him down as a hbf.He was not a big ball winner at junior level, so probably shouldn't be surprised he's not racking them up at VFL level. However he's played 6 games and has yet to hit double digit disposals in any of them which is worrying.

Arnold is very very solid. Has a great rep at Brisbane and will be in our backline before tooo long.Having seen a fair bit of Melican, Francis and Gould at VFL / AFL level this year, I'd say Arnold is a better player than all 3. Swans wayRebuild complete. Buller will kick 35 next year, Logan 49.
Then both will be stolen away in a Fremantle/West Coast megatrade, that sees us net 4 first round picks we trade on to secure Tom Mitchell & Dustin Martin
That's a weird take on a weekend of odd takes.Swans way
We will build them up then give them away for free like Aliir, Cameron, Nank and Dawson.
He was right in the coalface and look at Parkers disposals from out of there , these blokes get it out to others . The thing that pisses me off at all levels is players that do well in 2nds in a position rarely get to play in the some position in seniorsI wanted Stephens to play well today, and his effort was immense (take that "he's soft" heretics!)
However he should not be within a ten mile radius of the senior team with the skill level he demonstrated today. So incredibly fumbly and I can count on one hand the number of times he found a target.
And I know the seniors weren't exactly a picture of poise and polish last night. But if that's how Stephens goes at the lower level it doesn't bode well for him at the higher level...
Different level was the commentatorHonestly this game was THE highlight of the season so far for mine. More enjoyable than anything seen at senior level. Just felt like we were on a different level all day, that first win felt right in our grasp, then to feel it had all but slipped away, then the last gasp victory. Awesome awesome stuff.
Magor nearly cost us the game with a clangerLiking some of the development we're seeing from reserves guys this year. They've been forced to shoulder the load of responsibility given our injury list and now that we've got the mid-season draft guys in with some returning injured players, they're showing better form with more support. Magor is looking the goods as a rebounding defender with sharp skills, Edwards is improving every week with his defensive nous and physicality, Mitchell is back fit and looks dynamic as a runner and I like his decision making, and McAndrew I'm still bullish will be a seniors mainstay from next year.

I like this game, overall prior to now no one imo was a really standing up as developing well.I think the inclusions from the msd upped the performance of all, games from some like Magor were his best imo. The rankin performance also good to see. I liked Stephens game, the ability to get the ball was great to see in a role we haven’t really seen him in before. Buller and Arnold may very soon be best 22. To see this group progress in the second half of the season will be where the interest lies for mine.Liking some of the development we're seeing from reserves guys this year.
