Have we now seen enough of Lohmann in the seniors to form an opinion as to whether he's worth re-signing?

Players are worth what they get signed for. If he cons someone into paying $800k, more power to him.

I disagree.
what one or multiple club/s "values" a player to be and their actual worth or value are two different things imo.
A club paying $800000 for a player may say more about the clubs deficiencies or inability to manage their tpp, then what the actually offers the club
Salary dumping is the prime example of financial outcomes vs player output/value or worth.
I haven't been on for a while, prior to the Adelaide loss I reckon. So I guess this is what I'm thinking without influence of previous posts or issues.
Gotta start by saying, I couldn't be happier with the way we've finished the season. A fit list, other than Ashcroft. Depth players have had a run over the last few weeks. Our form is getting better n better. It's a squad and game plan that is good enough to win the flag.
This is a list management thread not a season review thread so I would start by locking in those not signed in our current best 22. McKenna and Dev Robertson and Zorko.
I was sceptical of McKenna early, but I've been proved so very wrong. He's a must keep, 3yrs certainly. With Starce, Kiddy n Wilmot, they make a great team back there and will only get better.
I'm trying a bit harder now to hold onto Dev. I've read WC have a 4yr deal tabled and there is an offer infront of him from the Lions. He has stepped up in the wake of Ashcroft's injury admirably. I think very well but I'm a fan. Next season he'll hold that spot till Ashcroft returns at least, 3/4 of the season. Potentially holding a spot if Zorks age catches up. The following season, Zorko, Lyons will have dropped off, if his form and progression continues he's getting a lot of gametime. We may not match the 4yrs of the Eagle's but definitely 2 maybe 3yrs. I hope from Devs view, he sees he's been part of a rebuilding team already and is about to reap the rewards for a few years to come. Why would he want to start again with WC. He's still young, soak up the success here.
Zorko gets another year, he's still pulling good numbers, capable of multiple efforts and inspiring the team.
They're the 3 I'm working hard to keep that are unsigned at the moment. I guess the next bit is which players retire or we move on.
Rich retires. It's time. One of my faves for a long time. Great respect. I'd love it if Gunston could see the writing on the wall and make an honourable departure, call an early retirement. I don't think he will, he'll play out his contract.
Others at risk, Cockatoo, Matho (I'd love to keep him), Fullerton, maybe a cpl of young Iads if they're underperforming in the ressies or superfluous. Blake Coleman, Carter Michael. I don't know what their contract status is.
I don't think we need to make many changes. I think we can have faith in our drafting over previous years. Stick with players like Dev, Prior, Tunstill, Lohmann, Sharp, they will pay off in time. Joyce, Lane, Smith keep developing.
When it comes to trading in players I don't think we have the currency to do so. Cash or draft spots. I don't think we really need to. Depth wise I think we're pretty good across the board. Questions around 3rd tall forward and defender. Lester has surprised, Gardiner's body will be better for year he's had and I think Joyce is worth developing. We're OK there. Up fwd I think we are a tall fwd short. Not necessarily structurally but for depth. I think we'll be relying on Gunston at least for next season, unless he takes an early mark. If he does maybe we can jag a young fwd from somewhere or give Smith a shot.
Last bit is drafting. I think we should focus on key position talls. A defender and a fwd. Isn't there a young lad Arnold, I could be wrong with the name, in the ressies that shows promise as a defender. Anyway best we can get in those positions I'll be happy with.
I don't think we will or need to make many changes. Hold on to what we got I reckon but what I reckon and what will happen will be two different things. The following year Zorko, Lyons, Gunston, maybe Lester, will be gone. We'll be welcoming young Levi Ashcroft and evolving very nicely.
Have we now seen enough of Lohmann in the seniors to form an opinion as to whether he's worth re-signing?
Lohman has huge upside talent. But he shouldn’t be used as a sub.
McCluggage a priority that's for sure and agree Bez copped a bit of stick on BF for an average game or two.Number 1 off-season priority is to re-sign McCluggage (won't be cheap) and hold onto Berry (shouldn't be outrageously costly). He gets a lot of stick Bez, some deserved, some based on unrealistic expectations but is worth retaining. #2 is draft positioning for this year and setting us up for bid matching next year.
Anything we can do above and beyond that is a bonus.

Berry has been great over the last month.
He is our best winger and did have a few average games but not that many in my opinion.
He is still growing into a role that is not really suited to his style of play.
Playing to his best at the right time of the year.
OOC 2026 according to footywire, I like him but IIRC noted Giants watcher dlanod is not a fan.is that Jake Recardi bloke at GWS out of contract.
Just re-signed I thinkis that Jake Recardi bloke at GWS out of contract.
Not sure we need SOS Gunners still has a year to run on he's contractSilvagni and Flanders please.

I think he is a handy utility pickup. Not sure if he slots straight into our 22 which could be a stumbling block for him coming over though. Then what though? We have no KP depth, can also play back up ruck.

Doedee seems likely Adelaide apparently giving him a low contractThen what though? We have no KP depth, can also play back up ruck.

I sorta get that in a way.Little bita Dippa about him.
I would be. He could have been signed as a DFA when we moved him to the rookie list, and even in trades would have gone for a nothing pick. No one bit at any point so what's different now other than he's been stuck in the reserves for an entire year.
Arnold was picked up by the Swans in the MSD.I haven't been on for a while, prior to the Adelaide loss I reckon. So I guess this is what I'm thinking without influence of previous posts or issues.
