Personally, I’m not a big fan of Archie Roberts, I think he is one of the more overrated players in this draft. If he wasn’t at the dragons I reckon he’d be outside the top 40.

He isn’t overly good defensively and all his disposal numbers are inflated heavily by taking kick outs. I just don’t think he is all that damaging with his disposal either.

Give me Angus Hastie as a half back over him any day of the week.

If that's the path the club wants to go down, then great. They'll have views on the capabilities of all those players.

It seems we're keen to move up though. As are a lot of teams. To me, that says something about the reality of the situation.

To it backs up my belief that we're not that far away from having the list roughly where we want it. So more at a quality over quantity stage. 3 years ago im sure we'd be viewing differently much as Geelong and WC should be now.

Lets look at the talls for example.

Ive heard the arguments about Chom not having played back and what if his body doesnt hold up. Yet to my mind non of the draftees have proven they'll make AFL quality key defenders yet and their bodies are unknown. While Chom has every attribute you'd want from tall to make it in that position.

Next season, unless we finish last which i highly doubt we should be at the trade and FA stage. Ben King out of contract with GC getting Walters makes a great target with out first involved. Then target a ruck with FA, likely Darcy if he only signs for 1 year which i wouldnt mind betting is the hold up. Freo want longer.

IF we pulled off the above, which we should be a good chance of doing then we're not as bad as people make out for talls.

I've seen him live a few times too and would drop in my rankings too.... very raw and very light.... is a few yrs off which if that is what we want but there are others closer

All about the long term with draft picks. Not worried how close they are on day 1.

Just on Darcy... surely he either doesn't sign and becomes FA next yr or signs big and is his big payday. Why would he sign one yr

Probably not really for this thread, but that's two weeks in a row he's said a 200cm 31yo with stuffed feet (& fkd knees too apparently?) is going to be the answer to Richmond's problems
He spent most of the season talking up Geelong and Richmond as flag chances, even after it became patently clear that neither of them were actually going to make finals. When he finally realised that Geelong weren't going back to back, he reverted to his default "Geelong are the best administered football club in the known universe" schtick. Even in this week's Sliding Doors he's intimating that Mackie being a dick about the Ratugolea trade is actually some form of 4D chess.

Swap the names over and my point remains, elite talent, KPD, ruck depth and depth in the back 6.

I’m not against picking up 2 out of Green, Edwards and Archie Reid either. We just need to add some depth and competition with our talls.

This is how King Corey and I look at each other at mod meetings and then to break the tension I just talk about much we won the Ben Brown trade using stats.

I feel worse than Minnie Driver when Matt Damon dumped her on live television.

I have just resigned myself to the fact that the club will do what the club will do with complete disregard of our opinions and therefore I am at peace at last…

Me stressing out and having a coronary is going to me no good 😌

It’s like they don’t even care what we think
