If we keep our current picks and walk away with something like below then i'd be happy:

Mckercher
Duursma
Ollie Murphy
Archie Roberts
and one of Will Green or Mitch Edwards

Elite talent with early picks, KPD, good user off half back and a developing ruck.

Geelong just two better than one and some say once get past 6-7 it equals out.... and yes agree wc will prob want two top tens

It don't work like that, unless Geelong have yet another f/s they need points for.

Rawlings seems to give the indication of wanting to trade up, and after turning the diabolical situation JHF with pick 1 to Wardlaw, Sheezel + teens pick this draft he has runs on the board of knowing what he is doing.

Of teams trading up, the Dees likely have a specific player in mind given they are largely built as a squad. The Hawks wanted to give up pick 4 so you could argue they see the draft as only 3 players deep or that one is so far above and beyond.

As for the Eagles and ourselves, we have needs all over the place so should be approaching the draft with a different mindset to other teams.
Hawks want Dursma, could play into our hands on draft night, ya never know.

I'm not sure exactly why Geelong are trading a top 10 pick for those two late firsts tbh.

I also reckon West Coast want two top ten picks for 1
Of course they do......but pick 2 and 15, is much better than 4 and 8 for example. 2 is the jewel here in the trade.....they know who they can pick straight up, not relying on others

Yep, really like this.

It's wouldn't be about pts it would be purely Geelong wanting two bites of the cherry rather than one. If they think the players available at 8 are now better than players 15-18 then why wouldn't you take two rather than one.... particularly as Geelong didn't trade in anyone but lost one in trade and delisted a few

Ollie Murphy has dropped quite a bit in Twomey’s rankings there. Would love it if he’s still available at one of our late 1st round picks.

I've seen him live a few times too and would drop in my rankings too.... very raw and very light.... is a few yrs off which if that is what we want but there are others closer

Yep, who knows, tbh I think that'll be a draft night trade if it happens, and wouldn't help us get to 1.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of Archie Roberts, I think he is one of the more overrated players in this draft. If he wasn’t at the dragons I reckon he’d be outside the top 40.

He isn’t overly good defensively and all his disposal numbers are inflated heavily by taking kick outs. I just don’t think he is all that damaging with his disposal either.

Give me Angus Hastie as a half back over him any day of the week.
