Bro come on now.
I’m not saying either is a good chance to leave but whilst Darcy out of contract we may as well increase his dollars at the least and best case he does take the deal with us

And then if he stays targeting one of their other 4 key forwards to come be our second or 3rd kpf

Statistically it's an option but it's like someone with a faceless avatar trying to land Eugenie Bouchard with their banter over a sponsor's live chat. Yes, it could happen statistically. But it won't.

Sam Darcy won't give an offer from us one second's consideration and his management and the dogs would just strike whatever deal they were striking regardless. If an emerging or contending team makes an offer maybe that'd cause a bit of angst. We'd just be seen as an outlier.

depends, if he doesn't play much this year then that would be a motivator to leave

i still think dogs will play just 3 key tall forwards most of the year not the 4 they had on the weekend

There were Reports that the club and Sam Darcy management are in talks on 2 year contract extension.

They wouldn't be not stupid enough to part with JUH, Darcy or Naughton unless there was some serious buy beware factor nobody else knew of at the time.

If they wanted to give up a key forward they just release Lobb. The other 3 are potential 10+ year matchwinners, no team in their right mind would mess with that potential mix.

they wont be able to find a suitor for lobb on his current deal

and if darcy goes it wouldn't be cos they want him to it would be hes out of contract not getting game time and being offered more elsewhere

Mate I reckon the odds are better of my neighbour's cat typing out the lyrics of "Let it Be" on an ipad than there are of Sam Darcy not re-signing.

What the hell is this "if Darcy goes"....

He's not out of contract, it's not even Rnd 1 on the second year of his contract.

He's a former pick 2, F/S, lifelong dogs fan (with a younger brother coming through) that looks like a unicorn KPF prospect.

This talk is about as relevant as clubs fapping over the prospect of making trade offers for Sheezel or Wardlaw at the end of the year.

Can we stop polluting the thread?

He is out of contract at years end (no contract for next year signed)

So the rest of your post is irrelevant

Have you not seen him post.

Whilst I don't agree with this target, I'm curious how you'd approach this.

What $/years and sales pitch would you attempt in a Hail Mary to get Sam Darcy to North Melbourne?

Serious question. Not taking the piss.

pretty easy if hes not getting games as the 4th kpf

we guarantee him games as the second kpf and obviously more money

What makes you think Sam Darcy isn't getting games this year lol?
i said if he doesnt get games as he is the 4th tall

if he gets consistent games then obviously we wouldnt target him

i doubt they play 4 talls all year, you target the one not getting games assuming it is not lobb

it seems i need to dumb my posts down for you to understand

Hope you don’t mind be responding but the club have really said they are keen to play all of the 4 talls. Great thing with Darcy he can play in the backline so he will definitely be getting games

it worked on the weekend but i still doubt it lasts all year

agree he could go back but in that scenario the sell would be asking him does he prefer to play forward? if yes guaranteed forward games at more money to come

awkward dumb and dumber GIF

The Adelaide and Richmond offers were (imo) the most overblown trade hyperbole on here in recent years.

The NMFC have spoofed up plenty of bad trades over the years but with all the information at hand in 2021 I think we made the best call we could.

And the offers were nowhere near as good as made out imo.

Crows deal

Out: 2021 #1, 2022 #19
In: 2021 #4, 2022 #5, 2022 #15

2022 picks cancelled each other out.

Richmond deal

Out: 2021 #1
In: 2021 #7, #15, #26, CCJ
(opinion: I think there would've also been sweeteners demanded by Richmond in a final deal, they didn't just hand over CCJ for nicks in the end)

Final deal

Out: 2021 #1 2022 #1
In: 2022 #2 2022 #3 2023 #(1-18)
Plus other bits that don't particularly affect the net result of these top picks.

I honestly think we did better in the end.
Yeah but we had to put up with judas for a year

Don’t mind Nostrildamas.

We’ve got more chance of getting Jason Corn-Francis back than getting Darcy, so to the rest of us it’s something we would never contemplate..
