Gresham, Duursma, Smith gives us a fair bit of x factor. All capable of kicking goals and can roll through the midfield.
Day, Newcombe and Smith as our top liners, with Nash and Worpel providing the grunt.
Dog's won't repeat the debacle of Dunkley with Smith. That failed trade request, turned a lot of players away from Bevo. They treated Dunkley with contempt. Expect a future first and a sweetener, might be enough.
Come on Geelong.HS article suggesting Cats are going to ask for a future 1st for Ratugolea... seems a bit over the top I'd say?

Scrimshaw/Morrison/Frost, F1 and the WB2nd for Smith, and the WB 4 and 5th rounders.Massively. Walk away from that.
Could we package a decent player (a half back perhaps) with our F1 for Smith?
You’d think only Scrimshaw would hold much appeal there.Scrimshaw/Morrison/Frost, F1 and the WB2nd for Smith, and the WB 4 and 5th rounders.
He's an OK CHB, but he is just average, If Mitch McGovern can get big money, anyone can I guess, there's desperate clubs that pay good. The Ratugolea contract length/money has potential to be the most bewildering in AFL history
It's more of an and than an or. If they want any vets, we can give them up as sweeteners. You’d think only Scrimshaw would hold much appeal there.
Better off drafting the Tassie kid with our first pick if we want a dynamic midfielder.Dogs will want too much for Smith
When is he out of contract?Doubt it, he's on 800kish a year and the club doesn't want him. They can act tough but a pick around 10 would get it done.
Cleary doesn't fk around. He's about to nominate.İ just can't see the draft capital needed to get Smith this off season. We want a top liner in the draft at pick 4 so that won't work for us. Our future first swap with gc to the dogs for Smith won't get it done I'm assuming. Maybe a player of quality to sweeten up the deal and Chad would've been perfect with his late season form and dogs still chasing the premiership dream but that won't cut it. Having said that, if smith does nominate us then you get that deal done. MM, the floor is yours.
