As other posters have said, this isn't 23 year old Chris Judd.

I think Harley will be a star, but I also expected more from Jason-Horne Francis than we've seen to this point.

I also didn't expect this much from Nick Daicos.

There is no way to guenatee how a player will transfer to the AFL system.

I honestly don't think there is one footballer in league history I'd trade 3 top 10 picks for, which is what is being suggested. Maybe Buddy after 08.
And we're talking a draftee here, not even an established player!

Its even more mind blowing when its suggested that we would be trading out a young gun for us to even get one of those top ten picks that we are then trading out. Its an insane thing to do when as it currently stands it would all be for moving up 2 picks in the draft order.

If Denver ends up being a bust and we lose one of Ward/McKenzie plus pick 3 and a f1 (likely to be another top 5 pick) and Brockman that is some real shoddy list management. I can’t see that going ahead. Would prefer to try get GWS pick 6 using our F1 (take Haynes as well if we have to) and offer 3&6 + Brocky for 1 if we are that desperate.

That pick 3, pick 7 and future first rounder could also be Connor Rozee, Jordan Lewis and Patrick Dangerfield if we use hindsight. Has there been any pick 1 better than those 3 players collectively?

With his tank needing a little work would the draft comparison be close to Cam Rayner? Or does Reid have him covered?

I’d say Rayner was more an edge case as he was incredibly unfit. He was probably less fit than DGB or Reeves was.

If Reid was that unfit there’d be question marks but I don’t think it’s nearly that bad. He’s in the poor to average area for fitness.

Just will need a bit more work on fitness compared to some that have come through.

I can point to those 3 picks being Buddy, Lewis and Cyril as well.

It is clear you are simping for Reid as are a few other fans. You guys will promote massive overs.

All Eagles have to do is keep rejecting and you guys will keep adding to the offer. Don't think you guys have a limit.

I am pleased the club is not thinking this way but I fear they may get infected with such ideas.

PS : lot of the talk DGB down hottakes we saw earlier was also from Reid simps IMO trying to make it easy to accept a trade involving him.

For what it’s worth, I still think DGB could turn out ok but it’s not looking like being much of a reward for such a high draft pick.

I think the Hawks should trade their F1 for either of the Giants or Cats first pick this year. Cats have said it's up for grabs.

3&6 or 3&7 as it stands now might be enough to get Reid. If not two top ten picks this year plus McCabe would be a very good draft for the Hawks.

Although we improved this year, we were still a bottom 3 team. Looking at the ladder who we will overtake next year? You would assume WCE stays bottom, but after that those around us should improve. My point is giving away 3 players (two potentially top 5 picks and a gun young player) for Ried doesnt make sense. We have the fewest top 20 picks on a list and should be doing everything we can to get more, not hamper our draft hand for the next two years.

It only makes sense if we think it makes us way more attractive to free agents especially quality KPP next year

I can't remember the journalist but l read this about a week ago. I thought it was strange also.

Just re read the article, Mackie said for something better in return. Probably won't happen but an F1 might be something that could entice them.
Went heavy last year in getting in Bruhn, Henry and Bowes.
