It‘s just crazy talking about a professional athlete like he works at the ato. Billings has done everything asked of him including playing through injury. If Lyon wants to move on that’s his call but billings can play and he is imo still best 22 and doesn’t deserve the crap he gets on here.

Posters like me want Billings gone for a number of reasons, none of which are that I'm bored.

He has had 10 whole years to become a star or even a lock in the 22. He has not done either.

You can say he's been injured, but face it, even without the injuries he would have a similar profile to someone like Seb Ross, a Good Ordinary Player.

At vital moments he has let us down, he disappears regularly from games, he is no leader and seemingly has no drive to ever improve.

The fact that he and players like him have stayed so long in the team, speaks of the lack of competition for places in the side, not his quality. If we'd been one of those clubs getting top 5 dps up the wahoo, he would have been shunted out long ago, or at least had the ONUS on him to improve.

He's been stagnating comfortably for years and we should have traded him 5 years ago when we could have fooled someone that he was worth big money.

I'm happy for him if he does make it at another team, but we cannot wait forever in hope and we need to move on. Why now? Because we can't go back in time. The list needs to know that this is no longer the Comfort Club.

Because it's Dodo, he doesn't make decisions, he bullshits everyone he can to drive a narrative as peer pressure works since he has SFA outside of being an obstinate twat. So no deal gets made as that's not Dodo's job, his job is to be the face and shit talk, but since he's the man, they have to speak to him. It's a vicious cycle of literally talking to a wall only it talks back bullshit.
