Hence why I said lucky he does. But a few weeks ago it seemed pretty dry so you’d assume he would’ve jumped at the opportunity to go to Fremantle.
Or a few weeks ago, neither us or the media had any idea what opportunities he had from other clubs so there is no need to have a go at his character or mental state due to that.

Got tats so we know he's tough.

Maybe Byrnes. Might not be established enough but looks like he would make his bed so is obviously weak minded.
I'd go Henry, can also get the latent racists onboard, like they did when Hill started for us.

If Billings wasn't willing to entertain moving states to Freo or GWS where he'd likely get a game it shows where his head is at. Never willing to do the hard yards. Good luck to him at Melbourne but I'm well and truly done with him. I want players with some determination. Sounds like he'd rather be in the VFL collecting a pay check than playing AFL football outside of Victoria.

He's been coasting for a long time.

Must have come as a shock to Billings that RTB didn't rate him and didn't consider playing him leaving him to waste away in the seconds.

I was hoping Billings could at least be good fringe value to us moving forwards as his better football is solid but he might be past it looking at his VFL numbers this year.

One good thing to come out of this trade and the Gresham trade too, is those who don't work hard enough are being shown the door.

Not a bad thing.

Billings not as got at getting the ball but better at using it.

As long as the kick is no longer than 20 metres, off to the side and the receiver has a paddock to move in.

Time to move on from Billings. 10 years of frustration bitching is enough. Let someone else have a go.

Pretty disappointing end to Billings' career as a Saint. Does feel like the end of an era though. I'm glad to see the club is willing to make these decisions that they haven't had the guts to do for 10 years.

I assume you're talking about the trade week action?
Yeah, we're the reigning premiers of trade week. We **** around all year in the pointless regular season but turn up when it matters - trade time 😎

What a load of bullshit.

One of the hardest workers we have/had.

Billings never had a work rate issues. The guy worked his ass off but his body let him down the past 2 years.

Frankly, we'd have been in a much better spot the past 10 years if we had more players with Billings work rate.
