Billings never had a work rate issues. The guy worked his arse off but his body let him down the past 2 years.

Frankly, we'd have been in a much better spot the past 10 years if we had more players with Billings work rate.
Don't you get it is time for revisionism?

I wonder if Billings will still see himself as a forward since he'll apparently be kicking into the F50 instead of parking it there?

And he did play under RTB, played rnd 17, 19 and 20. He was one of our goal scorers v Demons in round 17, but GOP'd it up, had checked out.

Very cheap get for Carlton.

Bargain for the Blues. I would have been ok to have traded our second pick for him this year.

However, I think it is odd for Hollands to have chosen the Blues (yes , I know his brother is there) as he wants to play full time mid, and like Dow before him is going to have to push past some pretty decent mids at Carlton to do so.

You still beating your meat over your Billings poster?

You have dick ridden him hard over the last few weeks.

Average footballer. Thats it.

Thanks you. Next.
Mate if you can find a dick or homo erotic post from me put it up. I must say I find it very strange but each to there own and you my friend are the master of that type of posting.

Last word on billings, I rate him as a player his biggest crime was not living up to his pick 3 tag. Melbourne have lost a few and melksham has an acl and is getting old, billing is a smart pickup from a team in contention Imo.

You need more than 22 players to be in challenge mode. If Billings is your depth you are running a pretty good side. He's not a star but he's a GOP with some class.

These moves are fine but there is pressure on them to back up this year. Sacking the list doesn't stop that pressure on them. If the kids go backwards and the there are injuries they don't have an excuse seeing that they've made their bed.

Lyon made similar moves last time and moved on a lot of players but started from a much stronger list. If he ****s the list clogging it with low skilled workhorses and goes nowhere he will have been an absolute fail.

We will have to agree to disagree on this subject.

When fit and playing i don't believe he came close to fulfilling his potential.

That in essence is a work rate issue from my perspective.

Not hating on him either. I saw him as fair to solid.

Pretty disappointing end to Billings' career as a Saint. Does feel like the end of an era though. I'm glad to see the club is willing to make these decisions that they haven't had the guts to do for 10 years.

Agree Billings is a mentally fragile player, when the heat was on in games he would always missing. I cant remember ever seeing him make a pressure shot on goals when the side needed it. Im glad he is off our books so he can now sook it up somewhere else. We need alpha males to take us forward.

Gringo depth players shouldn't be on 500-550k per year thats for your middle tier group.

Honestly, think JB has done his dash at the Saints. Persisted with him for years, never lived up to the potential. Probably needs a fresh start and can take a bit less responsibility being in a better side. Not going to ask as much of him as we did.

Think it says plenty that he was fit this year and kept in the VFL

They will start him on the forward flank. He takes the spot of an Owies or Kennedy type pretty easily IMO.

Run him, Motlop and Martin as the small forwards. Holland can play on ball when Cripps rests forward. He can rotate on the wing with his brother...

They will make it work.

If Collingwood can have the balls to trade a number of players better then Billings and get better.

then it says it all about the mindset of our supporter base.

10 years and not once in the top 10 (copying sen/trade radio - definitely not top 5) of our BnF.

And people a miserable like we are trading prime Montagna.

Talented. Never delivered consistently. Mental midget infront of the big sticks. Unlucky with injury.

Thank you next.

Don't know what they could give us for him considering they only have 6, 11 and 42. I guess Billings and 56 for 42? Dream is Billings and 13 for 11 but we know that's not happening.
