Hopefully Nicks doesn't interfere with the list manager/recruiting team like Don Pyke did on that occasion.....WCE not all enarmored with Pyke again sticking his beak in and trading out their pick 3 this year either.
Terrible call by Pyke .....giving up FOS for a lottery pick ....WCE still none the wiser as to who will be travelling West after tomorrow

FOS?

More likely Smith.

Assuming he is still there - and every chance he is - it will be the WA boy Allan

It's going to be touch & go, getting Bo Allen IMO

One of the benefits of Nicks lacking a hard edge is he won't interfere.
Mmmm .....does Craig Macrae have a hard edge ? .....all we see is the public personna

Nicks is tough enough .....in this video, a few players no longer at the Club

Macrae absolutely does have a hard edge... don't confuse this with his personable media performances.

He's also a smart coach...

Nicks isn't tough! Can't make the difficult decisions needed to be successful.

Where can we watch this years draft? Is it only on AFL.com.au? Or is it on Kayo, does anyone know?
Unfortunately we'll miss our selection as the AFL media will be too busy circlejerking over Richmond's draft hand.

The big problem with that is it's more than likely the recruiting team don't see it that way. Draft pundits see it as even but I bet the recruiters don't see it that way and will have them all ranked in order.

That’s definitely not what Hamish said when we traded down and selected McAsey. He said that we had the next handful all very even so decided to pick up the extra pick and still get a player we effectively rated almost identical to our original pick. There’s not always a large gap from player to player or even among a group of a few.

Well this has been an emotional roller coaster. Thanks for your company along the way.

Final thoughts:

- brain says draft Draper at 4

- gut says trade up to 2 and take FOS

- balls say trade down to 6 and still get Draper (with Richmond's future second thrown in)

I’m looking forward to the melts when we select Langford over Draper ! 😆

Could happen. Its been tipped as a possibility.

I guess arguably who has a higher ceiling. Langford still has to grow into his body for AFL level footy while Draper playing a whole year of Sanfl maybe what you see is what you get. Nothing to grow into. To me i dont mind. As long as the performance comes. So melts may happen but if langford is a hit then everyones going to be happy regardless. Although some people still argue we should have gone Ebert instead of Dangerfield. So........

Langford is a gun, absolutely class, I'm projecting him to be the best in this class

We have bulk speed in Peatling/Rankine

But if we go Draper, oh boy, we'll be super quick

Hoping North go Tauru, leaves the possibility of Tigers wanting to move up to 4, one of Draper/Langford will still be at 6 for certain in this scenario (likely we stay at 4 though)
