Oh Boy... i can see the melts next Wednesday night. So if Draper goes to Carlton that would mean Richmond most likely will take FOS... That leaves Sam Lalor, Jagga Smith OR Harvey Langford who do we take?

Would love to get up to 2 and bid on Ashcroft as it's farcical that a premier gets the best player for a bag of junk picks. AFL weak as pizz not adjusting the pick values this year, should have been done as far back as JUH draft!

If WCE had pick 1 I’d take FOS. Understand why your midfield may prefer the pace of Draper though.

Given in the recent past we had Pick 1 and bid on JUH, I have no doubt we would if presented with that opportunity.

I actually really like SA. We went to AO for the Eagles Port game last year for Harley’s debut. Will probably do the same for Gather Round this year for the game vs Carlton so I can watch the player that we should have picked at 3 absolutely destroy us before heading to the Barossa/McLaren Vale and that 24 hour pancake joint that at 3AM looks like the first ten minutes of Saving Private Ryan.

Well you would expect Carlton to do their due diligence. If the player they want is gone then Draper maybe there next option. Could be speaking too another few players.



I think its likely to have been blown out of proportion. Nothing wrong with Draper asking what a club is like. Gibbs knows both so probably had a good convo. But means literally nothing.

Gibbs probably tipped Sid off, if you are flown to Melbourne, whatever you do, don’t eat the biscuit

I sat behind a poor eagles bloke at the game this year, the ticket was for his birthday and he looked devastated by the end.

I see what you did there. I’m glad I drew Adelaide, it was an enjoyable exercise getting FOS, Dodson, Johnson, Welsh and Bradley on the books but sadly had to hand the reins back to Justin Reid but I’ll be checking in with WCE list management if Matthew Clarke keeps this up.

You guys just played great footy, it all clicked and we didn’t have an answer. Even ROB had a career game.

Probably the highest floor in the draft along with Jagga.

As much as I like Curtin, wish we'd taken that WCE deal and had 3 & 4. Split 4 and have 3 x 1st round picks. Draper/Jagga + Travaglia & Berry or similar kind of haul. Would've set up our future.

You can’t just keep pushing everything forward.

I hate the idea of never making a choice now because the younger players next year might make us better in 5 years.

Yeah just a really bad trade period for the Eagles.
Baker is a nice player but not worth giving up a top 3 pick to get.
They had a chance to get a pick for Barrass to forward onto for Baker but stuffed it up by waiting too long.

I like the kid too

I think mid too but also wing and flanks

Seems a driven kid , so he will get there

He is really smooth mover , once he gets speed of game look out

Never play him as a lock down defender on a dangerous player , it’s not him
