it 'might' be that we are hedging on Welsh expecting him to go late but if not and its a bid in the 3rd round which is likely to be the earliest round you'd think a bid may come, we can eat into a F3, whilst at the same time using our F2 and F3 for Peatling with maybe something else coming back or that proposal where we swap F2's as part of it.

We can't use 43 as we don't have the list spot so flipping it into the future regardless its a supposed weaker draft is irrelevant as we would have to use it on Welsh when later picks may do the same job. So get value for it now, hedge for an earlier bid and at best case if that deal for a swap of F2's and a F3 comes to pass we still have a full suite of picks to use?
With how deep the depth runs in this draft can't see a bid coming before the late 3rd if that early, maybe not at all now.

There's so many more taller forwards available like Alix Tauru (Swingman), Harry Armstrong, Jobe Shanahan, Jonty Faull, Jack and Matt Whitlock(swingman), Gabriel Stumpf, Thomas Sims, Charlie Nicholls, Floyd Burmeister, Charlie West all who had National Combine invites.

How far out was this projected to be a strong draft?

Just wondering with future pick trading opening up (is that confirmed?) whether clubs will try to position themselves multiple years out from drafts they rate
This is purely from memory (no actual evidence), but it seems like there are calls ahead of time about drafts and it's hit and miss whether it turns out true come draft day.

Then there's the question of whether that draft was high quality in reality, which can also end up incorrect.

At this stage we won’t be picking up anyone new in the Rookie Draft, just rookie-ing a couple of senior listed players we need to delist (say, Smith and Schoenberg).
Greenwood again please...🙏 :praying:📿
