I really question the wisdom of that. Unless we do it on the night to grab a big slider.Port out: 13, 29

When's the cut-off for father son nominations?
i dont know if the difference betwen Allan/travaglia vs Hotton is enough to warrant us trading out 29 in a deep draft. i would only do this if a reid, smillie or tauru slid.Port out: 13, 29

Yea I was wondering about this.
On the AFL form it says lodgement for F/S & NGA's is Thursday 31st of October
Maybe the club will release a statement on Monday regarding who they nominated.
Would say somewhere from 40 onwards but more like around 50Where’s this Charlie bloke likely to go in terms of order ?

I highly doubt it. I'd have loved us to if we had an extra pick in that range and a list spot. But we have 3 rucks already and we might lose 29 which would mean there's no chanceWould we look at Dodson with our 2nd pick ?
Definitely should be more ruthless.Ridiculous though. Charleson, McEntee and Williams could easily make way to get better talent from this draft. Even Tommy A is lineball.
I definitely would get Dodson at 29ish. He will take a few years to get going and by then Soldo will be gone.Would we look at Dodson with our 2nd pick ?
My only issue is we have more immediate needs over a ruck but I wish that wasn't the caseI definitely would get Dodson at 29ish. He will take a few years to get going and by then Soldo will be gone.
If only Soldo went back to Vic as intended, I would have loved to draft Dodson at 29 assuming he still is there by then. Having 4 rucks in the squad with 3 of them playing in the magpies isn't ideal and would hinder their development. My only issue is we have more immediate needs over a ruck but I wish that wasn't the case
My issue isn't that we would have 4 rucks in general. My issue is that we would have 4 rucks while having other deficiencies that won't be filled if we took Dodson at 29, assuming he slipped throughIf only Soldo went back to Vic as intended, I would have loved to draft Dodson at 29 assuming he still is there by then. We just had to lodge by 31 OctoberNo father sons and no Benny??
One would've thought they wouldn't have lodged them if they didn't already know they would be acceptedWe just had to lodge by 31 October
They have a couple of weeks to accept
Won’t hear news I assume until the players give green light
I agree. Port has some deficiencies and constantly trying to plug it up with B/C grade talent has only shown how badly exposed we are at the pointy end of the season. Doesn't help that for whatever reason the team's intensity fails to lift a touch or two and has to be emotionally driven to get to that level which isn't sustainable in the long run.My issue isn't that we would have 4 rucks in general. Yeah can see Trainor slipping, there's some big concerns amongst recruiters about his concussions apparently. Hotton will be a first rounder no doubt, so weird he didn't get an inviteHotton and Trainor not in first rd of selections as they didnt get invite to opening draft night.
Ken's already insisting we draft him at 13, just to make sure we don't miss.Analysis for Charlie.
“A contested marking key forward who presents at the ball full-chested, combining speed and strength while also chopping out in the ruck.”
Charlie West Draft Profile
Woodville-West Torrens key forward Charlie West is a strong contested marker who attacks the ball with vigour.central.rookieme.com
Hope this is true and makes our choice easierall of a sudden everyone wants Bo?
If this Charlie has talent, that would fill a need on the list big time.“A contested marking key forward who presents at the ball full-chested, combining speed and strength while also chopping out in the ruck.”
