We managed to hold on to Soldo so I guess it balances out.

We should have moved heaven & earth to turn Houston into Sid Draper, the kid will be a star.

I suspect Carlton traded up for either fos , lalor or Draper and I have a suspicion it was trading ahead of the crows to snatch Draper.

So I am guessing Port are done unless a Vic club decides to go for Soldo. Guessing the team will be using this time unto draft night to assess which players will most likely be available with their picks and see if they can swap picks if there is a player they want. I believe CD said they are planning on taking 3 to 4 players in the draft.

They have put a line through Oliver Francou. Maybe Montgomery is a line-ball call. But I do think he meant on top of the NGA and F/S. But I am starting to think it'll be just Barrett and Burgoyne we draft and perhaps do a Logan Evans sort of thing with Montgomery.

If it's 3 players, we should be shifting pick 50 out. Either upgrade a pick, or get a 3rd rounder next year.

I'm keen to move 36 and 50 for Lions' pick 27 if what CD says is true and the club is intending on selecting 3-4 players.

Definitely should be asking Lions and if they say no for whatever reason then Essendon at 28

Barrett is the only one that we might need to take in the main draft, based on one really good quarter against the Vics in the u18s.

4 picks in National Draft, Cat B rookie in Barrett (hopefully), 2 Cat A rookies in Burgoyne and Montgomery

Those players in the delisting list are all that I dont see an AFL future in, except Scully. Jackson debatable, otherwise I won't lost any sleep over delisting the others.

There was a reason the club was desperate to get rid of one of Soldo or Clurey but looks unlikely now.

Jackson & McEntee are contracted. Jackson might be shuffled to rookie list, same as Clurey, but unlikely not to still be on our lists. McEntee being delisted this year is a pipe dream.


K Marshall, Scully, Narkle, F Evans & Boak are the ones the decisions to cut will come from. Only added ones would be rookie shuffles. So at most we'd likely have 5 picks.
