Rankin omitted for the second time this season - I know she's still on the emergency list, but feels like a step in the right direction

While Bragg didn't exactly grab her opportunities last season, she does give us a bit of flexibility with another tall down back or she can go into the ruck if we want to utilise Darby or Featherston elsewhere

Absolutely. The combination of condensed fixture and not being able to train for the longer periods per year that most professional athletes do might be a serious problem.

And the condensed fixture also probably ups the pressure to play when injured, and that rarely ends well ...

We're pressing hard here, but we did this last week and didn't make the most of it.

Absolutely loving Jackie Parry's game again this year; took a massive step last year; I don't usually nominate a 'favourite' but she's pretty damn good.

How much they get to train (make them full time)
And of course the schedule

Before we start losing promising players due to the above crap
