Both teams have zero wins against Geelong in that time too. ;)

In fact, it's been over double that time since the AFL Roos have beaten us (July 11, 2015 was the last time, which was 3430 days ago!)

Looking at North's AFLW season, not only are we the only team they played this season that they didn't defeat but we also had the highest score against them

And they had their 2nd lowest score against us as well (their lowest, 3.9.27 was against Richmond when it was teeming with rain all game).

Your girls and Adelaide were the two sides I was worried about the most this year, have to admit I was relieved you missed the finals and I have no doubt you'll be a force next year. Well done being the only blemish on our otherwise perfect season.

More trade news, this time involving us - sounds like we're set for at least one departure,

Sydney is another expected to be among the busiest clubs during next week's AFLW Trade Period and is set to win the race for highly sought-after Geelong midfielder Darcy Moloney.

Wonder if we'll try to include Bella Smith in any trade for Moloney,

The Swans have also been monitoring Tigers youngster Imogen Brown and delisted Giants defender Jas Grierson as potential cut-price options, having already made a series of list changes.

But the club is in a fight to retain defender Ella Heads, who is expected to join Port Adelaide, while Bella Smith has interest from Carlton, Geelong, North Melbourne and Fremantle after a five-goal performance to finish the year.

It would be fun to have 2 x Bella Smith's running around in the hoops

Geelong’s Darcy Moloney, 22, has requested a trade, with West Coast and Sydney her two likely landing spots.

The Cats are readying for draft capital in return for the 46-gamer, who hasn’t been able to fully crack Geelong’s tight midfield rotation.

Not completely upset

I know we discussed Darcy during the season - when we lost Gardner to Sydney, I was happy we held onto Darcy at that stage as I thought she had shown the most for us to that point

But not sure she's really come on as we would have wanted and think her best games have been when she's played forward

Good luck to her with the trade & her eventual new home, but looking at this a positive opportunity for us with a spot opening up & the chance to see someone new make a name for themselves

I think Thorne and Smith showed more than D. Moloney.

Yep, her best games have been up forward. But we're doing OK for mid-small forwards, especially with Chloe coming back next season.

Will be interesting to see what we can get for her, probably not much more than a 2nd?

Zali & Rach until 2026, Gunjaca until 27

That’s great news.

Zali put on some size and it made her game go up a notch, she really took it too a new level, some games we really missed her when she was off having a rest.
She is a great athlete and wing is the perfect position for Zali.

Rach does put a bit of fear into the opposition, and knows no other way then full tilt.

I thought last season Gunjuca played a lot better, she still went all right, but dropped back a peg.

I'm not too hard on Gunjaca from this past season and think she held her own more often the not

What I think was more noticeable though was Meg Mac's form dropping, add in that losing Hoare meant Darby took over a large role in the ruck compared with her dropping back like we've previously seen and there was a bit more pressure on Gunjaca who at 176cm can be a bit undersized compared to KPFs we're starting to see come through

It's a key reason why I'd like to see us target a genuine KPD option (though not sure we've really been linked to anyone), as that could allow Gunjaca to play more as the second KD option rather than as our key option down back

The proposed six-club trade expanded to seven this arvo (Cats & Pies entered for pick swaps, Kangas backed out). But it's still considered highly unlikely. Hawks not keen on the deal. Clubs now discussing each trade separately, with Tayla Harris' move in the balance. @AFLcomau
