I love how Cripps & Bont snuck in there. Travaglia surprised me, I've not seen much about his lack of pace.

StCicatriz to save me from doing another post, wasn't Erasmus' issues that he was slow and had an average kick? Do you know his 20m times?

I’m optimistic we’ll have 2 future back pocket/half backs who can play above their height, can intercept and both have serious speed in Hoffman & Hastie.

Looking at his old pre-draft stuff, Hastie may well be the logical successor to Sinclair.

A couple of old jilted never-beens 😂
lol better than a never wassa.

Coming from Sydney I believed the 1980's propaganda that Aussie rules was soft so after playing Union and League all my life, changed over to Aussie Rules in my early 20's playing for Sydney Uni.

Got the absolute suitcase beaten out of me, broken ribs, multiple dislocated fingers, broken nose in a fight. 2 seasons and I was out, girlfriend threatened departure and I was only too glad to give it away. :D:D

Yeah but you must be soft if you can't take a mid-game prostate exam.

Essentially brings our future First into this Draft and upgrades our first selections. Would do it if we have a FA lined up for next year.

On Pixel 6a using BigFooty.com mobile app
We would want 2,7 and 22 in this scenario

Our investment in the draft for the past 4 off seasons (3 including this one) will hold us in very good stead for a sustained period. Some drafts have been better than others, but each has produced players with All Australian prospects

I think we will target midfielders with our first two picks, as for what posters have said i think we will pair it with two that compliment each other. We need a centre clearance bull Langford/smillie/lalor/draper we will target and I think the other will be something of a different mix smith/reid/lindsay/travaglia. I think there’s enough solid kpp depth in the second and third round and acquiring Cole and hofman(I’m quite bullish on) I don’t think wel see the backline as a need. I could see us targeting a small forward aswell with one of our second/third round picks. Jasper Alger/hannaford/datoli would be in the convo.

They can play on both big and smalls which is a great weapon to have .... along with speed and solid decision making & skills

What's not to like there

Essendon will still have difficulty trading in, say, their F2 for a mother club’s current 2R. Will be a king’s ransom to get into this draft. Thank god GWS gave us one this year. Will be interesting to see what they do. Stringer perhaps.

Lindsay is probably the best kick in the draft and his running is high end so I wouldnt be upset if the club grabbed him. A mix of a big midfielder and smaller quick mid would by excellent. I know SOS and the list management team haven't had much to work with in their time at the club, but gees it would have been nice if had of stacked more picks for this draft. Every other club is desperately trying to collect more picks so it will be almost impossible to trade in other picks - short of hoping we get something for Membrey (compo), Hayes and whoever else.
You're not jumping of old mate Murphy are you?

Amazing how times have changed in terms of talent ID. I was fortunate enough to go through the pathways 15 years ago. If you ran a 3.2 20m sprint, and you were a mid, there was no way possible you'd be a first rounder.
The message we got was 'if you can't run you can't play' and they took it literally through testing, than through vision.
It's great to see the attention shift back to footballer over athlete, but I am wary that 3.24 is as slow as the best ruckman in the draft..
How'd you get on the talent pathway? Were you lost?
