How? Helmets do nothing to stop CTE. Some studies suggest they make things worse because they give you a false sense of security.

Who broke his hand in a fight and lied about it and then got caught drink driving a year later as a P plater.
This has all the signs of the in flag contention Pies landing Thomas on a rookie deal. A club who is big enough to deal with the scrutiny and to an extent drown it out.

Again, Lovett had history of essentially false imprisonment of a female, assault, and a predication for violence towards women that was plain as day, and what did Essendon do about it?
If you suggested sing his praises as a great skilled bloke that is infallible, you win a gold star that he pins to his first actual sexual assault victim that wasn't a girlfriend at the time who the AFL then twisted the knife so Lovett could be jailed 2 years ago for you guessed it, assaulting a woman and NOT getting off on a technicality of how she so deserved it/ was asking for it/ insert bullshit here.
If he's skilled enough at footy, and smoke is blown, someone will buy the smoke signal. That respect instance associated with women in AFL parlance is bereft of the word respect and has been for several years, those fans got flamed and swept where skill > respect.
Lovett was 15+ years ago, society has changed significantly since then.

It's clearly the biggest issue facing the sport at the moment. Concussion has basically gone from an injury that kept you off the ground for 15 minutes to one that can potentially end your career with one hit.
It's scary because as many rules as they bring in to avoid it they can't get red of it. You just worry for a bloke like Hunter Clark with how many he has had.
