The Cats seizing the moment to make mention their interest in Tarryn Thomas makes me wonder about Bailey Smith already being off the table for them.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see TT and B Smith end up at Geelong. Worse still TT will cost nothing whilst Smith will likely cost them a paltry pick in the low to mid teens - it’s what Geelong do. They planets just always seem to align for them when it comes to bringing in gun players or getting the deal of lifetime like Jack Bowes and pick 7 for literally peanutsTT would come absolutely dirt cheap so they could likely easily fit both in the cap. Signing him would be NRL club levels of deplorable though so it would hating Geelong even easier than it already is.
Thankfully Jhye Clark looks an average player at bestWouldn’t surprise me at all to see TT and B Smith end up at Geelong. I thought we had to trade for Smith? You're choosing to be spooked by form though. It's temporary, and while it may have an impact if we implode, what we generally know about FA's in most years is that they've made their decision very early in their final year...and with Smith, theres been more than a few little whispers that he's been coming for some time.
That's not to discount the Cat's throwing a better offer, or getting him to take another look at their prospects, but I'm not too worried about it. He'll either buy in and jump to us based on the pitch Sam gives to what we can achieve with him, or he won't.
He wants success.
That isn't the reason why he wants to leave. Will play no part in his decision. He wants success.
He despises Bevo apparently. That isn't the reason why he wants to leave. Will play no part in his decision.
Hopefully bevo doesn’t get the sack.He despises Bevo apparently.
Don’t for one moment think Bailey Smith does not want to be a winner!Hopefully bevo doesn’t get the sack.
Feels suffocated by Bulldogs attitude of conforming to be a unit, it's the whole leadership at the Bulldogs not just Bevo.He despises Bevo apparently.
Suspect Daniel Dale and Macrae feel similar. Would take any and all of them.Don’t for one moment think Bailey Smith does not want to be a winner!
That said, the Bevo news is fundamental.
Would take all of em.Suspect Daniel Dale and Macrae feel similar. Would take any and all of them.
Macrae also a hawks fan as a kid so he fits the mouldSpitballing....
Wonder if the Dogs would be open to moving Macrae on for the added list space, on the cheap, while we pay for Smith with a future 1st.
We take on Macrae's contracted remaining 3 years for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, they get space to sign JUH and English.
Macrae into our midfield brings contested ball winning, leadership and experience that we may feel we are lacking on the back of our season to date( who knows they might not be that worried by it, and think its just a temporary form slump).
Bringing in someone like Smith to the middle, goes without saying.
would be an immediate shot in the arm to our midfield.
It's the type of deal we'd be looking at. Our midfield right now is the worst in the comp. If we're relying on Nash to come good, we're deadset fkd.Spitballing....

Just to be clear, they're paying us the 2nd/3rd rounder in this scenario, yeah?Spitballing....

Not keen on Jack.Baz and Jack walking in you say?
post the goats!
Agree. His best is behind him and the new hi tempo game doesn’t suit him anymore. Would just be getting in the way of Hustwaite if we think he has a futureNot keen on Jack.
Tbf to him, don't really need to tackle and pressure when you have the ball 35 times a gameAgree. His best is behind him and the new hi tempo game doesn’t suit him anymore. Would just be getting in the way of Hustwaite if we think he has a future
And never known him for his tackling or pressure
Really?Tbf to him, don't really need to tackle and pressure when you have the ball 35 times a game
