I hope we are after another wingman with a penetrating kick. Hinkley shutting down Massimo went a long way to Port beating us.

I hope we make him our CHF.
This might not work but imagine if it did.

Definatly worth a shot even as a swing man.

Battle and Barras give us so many options with Weds and Sic.

The prospect is exciting but making it work is Mitchells challenge. I'm sure he can't wait.

Our Best 22 doesn't include Finn. He's very much a depth player at Hawthorn.
Finn's skills are his biggest weakness, and we are currently playing a free-flowing gamestyle that relies on quick precise ball movement.
Injuries will happen, and Finn will continue to get opportunities when they come, but there's no doubt he will have better offers elsewhere which he could be tempted by.
We certainly won't be pushing him out the door though.

When we signed Nash on that long term deal the cast was set for a few. That Nash deal for me was a very interesting call as he doesn’t play forward or back and something we are kind of locked into now.

If Finn has a 3 year offer at 500k per year and a starting position in a side do you think Hawthorn is going to stop him pursuing that, when he has 1 year remaining on 275k (estimated) and no guarantee of a game with us?

If he wants to go we are not holding him back for a season. It’s not how Hawthorn operates.

We will get a pick around 30-35 range for him.

I agree is Nash the midfielder we really needed when we have Worpel in there, what happens to Nash if Ward and Mackenzie come on what other positions does he play, to stay in the side.

Or it could be worse isn't it his good one he done his ACL on, now he has two bad knees.
Originally I thought the same but no it was the same knee that was diagnosed as a sprained ACL that IMO was obviously something worse. To be fair ever since he had that so called sprained ACL he's never really got back on the park and moved freely up and down the wings like we've seen him do in the past.

As freak as it was I think him rupturing it could be a blessing in disguise as long as the graft takes and he puts the work into his rehab which I'm sure he will. I think it's important that we get behind him.

Nash is steadily improving overhead and has a good tank. Could play wing, half forward or half back as well as ruck relief.

People were saying the same about Frosty last year.

Will Day, Mackenzie, and Jiath are all ahead of Finn.
Morrison (if he stays) and Ward are also battling to find a spot in the 22.
The inclusion of Battle and Barrass will also release Weddle further up the field.

I would prefer to hold onto Maginness, but if another club can guarantee him senior games and a longer contract, whilst satisfying us with a decent pick, it could potentially be a win-win for both player and club. It all comes down to how we value him long-term, as he is contracted for 2025.
