AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
For the full minute when all the trades are settled in the special room that gets the door closed a few seconds before 7.307:30.
I reckon year after next Day, Reid and Newk would look betterImagine lining up round 1 next year with Sheezel, Reid and Finn O'Sullivan.
All 3 players aren't wanted by their clubs, can you really call Geelong masters when they just accept anyone regardless of the baggage they bring?Bailey Smith, Clayton Oliver, Bowes. No point living in denial. Best to acknowledge the best and learn from them to get better.
Those comments were about Bailey Smith, just to show how Harley is not necessary heading to GeelongAre you guys talking about the same person or am I confused as anything.
Harley’s a country boy and fairly sure he was a Geelong supporter
Surely Barrass gets done for the F1 and F2 and that’s that. No picks going back and forth just move on. I’d be interested to know what our exact stance is on it all. Wouldn’t be upset if we are willing to let the trade slide but I wonder how much it affects future dealings with players
Harley is not a city boy ??
Anyways I’m not saying Mackenzie hasn’t been great, his track record has been fantastic, it’s just that when Geelong get a sit down with a player and put their case forward, it seems more often than not other clubs don’t stand a chance.
Plenty of examples Bailey Smith, Clayton Oliver, Bowes. Our list management is really good no doubt but we also shouldn’t be living in denial that we can’t get better. Best to acknowledge the best and learn from them to improve.

That’s the problem with society today. All it takes is just one person to be offended.
This.Big deal.
Society changes. Always has.
I'm in my 40s and I don't get some of it, but the world does and should belong to the youth.
If a 'woke' society makes it easier for marginalised kids who have always been bullied, to get by with some equality, I'm fine with it

Hanging out with Roughy and Barrass just after the season ended. Allegedly.Country boy, Geelong supporter, Mackie being one of the best list managers, danger probably in his ear already, all things point to Geelong unfortunately if he decides to move!
Coming directly from someone that knows him pretty well, he wants to come back to Victoria, but isn’t that sentimental about Geelong. Wants to play big games at the G every week and wants $$$Country boy, Geelong supporter, Mackie being one of the best list managers, danger probably in his ear already, all things point to Geelong unfortunately if he decides to move!
I know all the super serious people that are heaps of fun at parties will say it’s a pipe dream, but, thinking about Wiz, Ginni and Harley in the same team living under the enemies skin but also backing it up means I can’t stand up for 20 minutes. There are some ingredients being stirred up in a cauldron here that makes me think we are a genuine shot at Harley in the coming years.Coming directly from someone that knows him pretty well, he wants to come back to Victoria, but isn’t that sentimental about Geelong. Not from my perspective.Stop letting Geelong live rent free in your head. This board has some real issues in that department.
Can I borrow that for work I absolutely love it?I didn't say harley was a city boy ffs. Bailey is. Read it again but slower
Plenty of examples? You've listed 3 players. 3. One who probably won't go to Geelong and another who is not there yet and prefered Hawthorn until we cooled.
Lake, Gibson, Frawley, Wingard, Omeara, Amon, Battle, Barrass... all highly sought after players who chose Hawthorn, and that's just off the top of my head.
They aren't the best at all. Piss off with this rubbish.
Paul Roos is trying to still stay relevant but instead has replaced old man Sheedy as a ‘dial a quote’ simpleton
Morris might be a bit of a tool but objectively I think he’s one of the best footy journos. His mail on various things this year has been absolutely spot on. I’ve been impressed by his strike rateThere are a few with a reasoned view.
Tom Morris on SEN this morning labelled West Coast the most silliest of all clubs in trade week in dealings to that point, asking far too much for Barrass and that Hawthorn had been reasonable all along.
That was before WC then proceeded to ship off their pick 3.
Not till 7:30 though.HAPPY TOM BARRASS DAY
