We won't hold out over a ~5 pick slide in the 40s. Seems likely we add in our F2 for their F3.Keep holding out. The longer this goes on the more desperate the 2 1st rounders will be. Pick 14 absolute max.

WHERE IS OUR BARRASS TRADE
We shouldn't trade our future pick (unknown) for their future pick (unknown).
Only possible movements are our pick getting better than expected and there's getting worse than expected.
If they want our future 2nd for they should give us an early 3rd now.
While best case scenario has our future 2nd as pick 36 and their future 3rd as pick 37.
As unlikely as it is, there is a chance our future 2nd is pick 19 and their future 3rd is pick 54.
This is what i do not understand, it values Battle at pick 8. Great that we get that kind of pick for free but compared to what is being floated around for a bunch of other players it seems a little out of whack!
At best it's a 1 pick slide, at worst it's a 35 pick slide. That's a risk if both picks are futures.
Then you have compensation, academy and fs that could impact as well.
Don't mind giving a little more with a pick swap but make both or 1 of the picks this year.
But West Coast have other deals to do and they need that pick 14. We can just wait until they are desperate or they will miss out on Liam Baker.
I had a very strong feeling it would not be some easy gimme, like seemingly everyone else thought. But yeah, it's testing the patience....WHERE IS OUR BARRASS TRADE
It doesn't value Battle at Pick 8. It values battle at Band 1.
Where a band 1 pick falls is dependent on ladder position.

Wouldn’t mention it until that pick, so there was no way for Geelong to move in front of it.

Inconsequential ones - yes. Substantial ones? No.
The sooner the trade period, including free agency, is constrained to 4-5 days the better.

Can he nominated his length of contract and salary terms? If so Saints just need to do the best thing ever and just draft him and then trade him the following year lol
Personally i think Geelong will end up giving more because you cant risk a player you have said you will trade for risk the draft. They will 100% blink first right before the end of the trade period
