As for Hodgey not being suitable as a head coach, the same was likley said about Lethal before he become the goat.

Matthews was head coach of Collingwood within 7 months of retiring as a player. So far Hodge hasn't really shown any burning desire in being a coach that I have seen. Great on field general =/= great coach and there are more examples of it failing than there are of it succeeding. Hodge might be the next Lethal - but as it stands I can't see him ever being more than a a part time consultant/assistant while staying in the media.
