Ras is tracking fine, bottom ager and 36 touches in his first game back in the wafl in only year 3 - if he was getting it only 15 times you’d start to worry.

No doubt pencilled in the replace Fyfe on the inside, and will be at the right age to do it when Fyfe steps down.

Will never cut teams up by foot, but might get 25-30 touches with 10-15 contested most weeks.

Has a great tank, and the game is as much about outnumbering oppo at contests as anything these days. Massive strength of the Pies last year.

If we have Treacy, Amiss and Jackson particularly forward of the ball, his quick kicks from packs aren’t such an issue because we aren’t getting out marked much.

You make a great point about the young forwards not being out marked.

All three of them seem to get to contest either by efforts or smarts and bring the ball to ground.

I am totally fine with the Amiss, Jackson and Treacy combo.

Can’t lose with three 1sts round picks, if we miss on every target, we bank the cash and take two top 10 picks to the draft. Decent consolation prize
I wouldn't mind trading some of the picks for future picks.

Teams tend to overrate their chances and overpay for current picks.

Gives us further assets to trade with and Tasmania will dominate the 2027 draft, therefore making the 2025 and 2026 drafts very valuable.

I was dead against it but I’d trade the highest one if it’s a top 4 pick. Would be open to doing it until we hit the jackpot like we might do with Pies

Devil is in details. Trading out late first picks would better and as you said hopefully the other team fall off the cliff.

Would mind trading up for the right player as well.

Another thing to consider is that the WA talent will be in 2025 and we are still a young team.

Shame it seems to be mostly a midfield draft though
Watson seems to have been exception but small forwards seem to always be underrated on these kind of rankings until draft night. I’m positive there will be quality forward around our picks come draft night (wherever they are)

Ohhh definetly!! Would be great if there was a Key Forward in there as well

The best small forward talent seems to go towards the end of the first round. If Logan resigns at Sydney the odds of us getting someone like Malakai Champion with a late first significantly increase.

Just grab the best available KPF with our top 10 pick and an elite small forward with a late first. We honestly can't lose with our draft hand

Not sure i have seen anything on this on here but…

Busslinger is playing vfl as kpd currently. Was a first round draft pick a couple of years ago but hard to break into bulldogs atm.

Any possibility of dockers targeting him as a future AP or luke ryan replacement? In contract but woulda thought he would be after more opportunities at afl level?

Why draft a young KPF, it’s not making any difference anytime soon and will be hard to give them games?

Brodie won't be worth a second. Yes, he is contracted, but getting his salary (albeit only low/moderate) off our books would be part of it. We wouldn't get anything more than chump change. WC won't use their 2nd and don't have a 3rd. At this stage it would be their 4th, which is basically a junk pick in the range where clubs are passing.

As for Erasmus, you have to ignore where he was drafted. He's only getting 10-20 if he was actually in the side and performing well. And if that is the case, then he probably wants to stay and we wouldn't want to trade him. If he plays the year out in the WAFL and asks for a trade, the best we can hope for is a 2nd rounder that is going to be in the 30's with all the compo picks, F/S, NGA, etc.
Absolutely correct. Some of the trade values being bandied about here for Erasmus and Brodie are delusional.

Id say because once Taberner retires it leaves us with Amiss and Treacy. Yes I get we want Jackson as a key forward but what are the actual odds that Darcy stays healthy? Slim at best I think
