What does that have to do with our list management... do you think we can get him this year, or are you just ruing the one that got away?

We work now to replace Fyfe, Walters and Pearce and Ryan…

And when the time’s right they need to be encouraged to move on

We have a very solid and young core…we can cut hard when we need to on the fringes

On replay Treacy was leading into that space before Tabs started and brought his opponent into it, but Josh should have really read the scene and blocked at that point. Worked out in the end

Then its basically using our first each year to replace the next oldest player, probably means someone for Moose next up (altho I always agree that KPD's can be taken after the first round)

He’s become the main target i50 now. Players target him more than anyone else in the forward line. Credit to him He’s generating shots on goal but not very accurate these last couple weeks (like Amiss).

Him setting up that goal for Amiss in the third after he ran to spoil though was hilarious bc I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do anything like that before

Thats the hope but Murphy is a flight risk IMO, Davies I do think can be good but I rate Moose a lot higher than most on here, I'd be very surprised if Davies ever hits his level, Draper for Ryan is the most settled eventually I reckon.

But yeah, the hope is you just keep refreshing from within, the reality is that some of these players don't come on, others leave for opportunity, others leave for money etc

Its bloody hard to stay up a long time, Cats have done it but not many others have (Sydney basically have)

Can’t see why this is a controversial view.
Sure he kicked the goal, but it’s about method. Next time he clogs the lane and no one gets a goal, or he drags his man right into the contest

Rnd 2:
Amiss/Treacy-7 marks-3 x i50 & 3 CM, scored 2.4
Rnd 3:
Amiss/Treacy-7 marks- 1x i50 & 1 Cm

I don’t think it’s coincidence that Amiss/ Treacy have only taken 4 i50 marks with Tabs in the side compared to 7 in round 1.
A 30 year old Tabs may have been our best forward in the last 2 weeks but he can’t maintain that over a season. As soon as Darcy is back he’s at Peel and is depth once more.
I look forward to seeing the Triple Js in action.
We just need 1 or 2 more weeks of this output from Tabs and hopefully Treacy and Amiss can work out how to play around him.

Your mistake is look at this as No Tabs vs Tabs when you really should be looking at is as Cox vs No Cox it's really all his impact.

Look I don’t hate the fact that we had TWO key forwards who could’ve marked the ball, and Adelaide defenders were sitting around with their thumbs in their arses.

Banners fake block running through the Adelaide defenders line without touching him is a thing of beauty too
If I was Matthew Nicks I’d be spewing…half arsed defence in the space of a telephone box.

And Tabs put the return lead on after doing one already, so that bit is excellent forward craft, but him possibly putting a fake block on the Adelaide guy while Treacy ran the lead would be generally helpful, and you can see Treacy hit the brakes to try and get out of the way.

Who has said anything about staying up for a decade?
That’s not possible for a club like Fremantle.
We will get a window of about 5 or 6 years max. That’s normal and expected for freo. At the end of that period it might be possible to stretch it out another year or two with free agents and trades if we are a desirable club to come to.
I want us to be running at 100% flag winning mode for those 6 years from 2025-2030.
Not 70% and trying to have one eye on the 2030s.
It’s hard enough to win a flag. Success will be judged by premierships.
No flag = failure of this list build and strategy.

When Tabs looks at Treacy, Treacy is flat footed & if I were Tabs when I look back at the ball & see the drop zone I’m not expecting Treacy to be anywhere near it.
Potentially if the ball wasn’t already in flight, Tabs most likely would have worked back towards the square & I have no doubt would have blocked for Treacy.

I don't think Sturt will ever come on to replace Sonny. He is more likely to be delisted at the end of the year.
