It’s been mentioned on the AFL app that Battle is generating plenty of interest as an unrestricted free agent. Not sure how likely he is to leave, but if he wanted to we couldn’t match the offer. It would be a blow to lose him. He’s one of the most consistent and reliable players on the team. Does anyone have any info around this?

It’s well publicised that we have a war chest available in cap space, so can’t see any issue with matching an offer. Think Battle seems pretty settled at the club too and is well respected by coaching staff and wider squad.

Apparently they are changing the secret herbs and spices this year so it makes it very hard to trigger band one compo. But I can imagine in that world would be the only way we would look at loosing him
