You would think by now collingwood will have an idea if aj or markov have been shown some interest from teams.
Generally once you commit to re-rooking players, I think rivals tend to steer clear, unless they are really determined to pry a player out. I suspect they'll be back on our list by friday.

thats suprising as those teams have no obligation to steer clear from the players available.

Demons and lions short on forwards… that’s the only way I see Johnson going

Markov will have no interest unless North want more older bodies

But yeah likely back on the list on Friday afternoon

yeah Johnson over Markov and no offence to him, he's a premership player and would be handy depth; but I can see that Ash would appeal to someone like melb

Had a dream last night we drafted a 153cm player and two medium forwards.

I do watch the whole draft even if we aren't involved, as when you watch a lot of U18 footy, you tend to get invested in where these kids go.
I've known Sid since he was 15 via the Arlo connection. Back when he was a chance to come to us... a pipe dream at the time.
And then interesting where the whitlocks go, given we were interested in them mid year. Then obviously those that trained with us over summer, Mraz.

And we'll see if we get involved in a pick swap tonight, as we have something up our sleeve with that whole trade we did with the lions. As atm, it feels it benefited the lions and not sure how it helps us given we wont take 4 players.
Not cool. Let’s have a real conversation here. If I build a connection with a 15yo AFLW prospect that is absolutely dead wrong and I’m not walking past a standard I wouldn’t accept in my personal life. I wouldn’t want my son knowing people twice his age who aren’t teachers or relatives.

What a load of bullshit.

I know his parents too. They are a very nice family.
I don't talk to him too much these days, but send him a message here and there, to see how he's going.

How dare you Jen!

I'd love to know all these rules about the ages of people I'm allowed to know. FMD

It's fine to disagree with Scodog but there's no need to dismiss a comment that's quite clearly come from a genuine place of concern the way you did. If you think it's a load of bullshit, explain why.
Come on. It's idiotic generalising.

If you need an explanation for that, I don't think I you will understand the explanation.

I chat to many family members (who sometimes they turn into afl players) of our players, to keep them up to date with how their son or brother/family member is going.
Its all very innocent.
Watched Sid play in a U18 game in adelaide last year, sat with his parents and Arlo, who was still out with concussion at the time, mentioned to me how he got the concussion. Was such an unfortunate time for Arlo.

Are you serious?

Once the bid for Ashcroft comes in I wonder whether Brisbane's pick 43 could come into play for us as a pick swap?

A bid at 5 would see picks 27 and 34 wiped out while pick 42 would retain a points value of approximately 137 which I assume then gets valued and returned to them at roughly pick 61 (is that how it works?).

If Brisbane retained pick 43 and a bid comes for Marshall at let's say 20 then 43 and 49 would be wiped out and if my assumptions are correct the points value of 58 retained would push it back to approximately 64.

If Brisbane however traded 43 for 52 and 55 that would see the points value of 49, 52 and 55 be enough to match a bid at 20 and see them retain 58.

Interestingly that 58 would then obviously come before the two selections of 60 and 66 we traded it for.

Potentially we could sweeten the pot by swapping out 60 for 61 if my assumptions are correct and the bid for Ashcroft lands at 5.

Of course it's fine Jen. You don't have to justify yourself to me or anyone else here.

All good.

I wouldn't mind us trying to shift 60 and 66 for something higher.
